SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Dec 19th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Dec 19, 2023 4:09 am

Good morning,

Yesterday was another busy day at the baby salt mines. She had a gassy tummy and didn't feel so good through the morning. So I gave her a little Mylecon and pretty soon she was better, but still didn't want to eat much - just be held on my lap and play with my phone. She loves all the pictures of that baby in the phone. (and there's plenty!) We got our laundry done, too, using Aut's W/D. One more laundry day before we leave Jan 1. Antonio sneaked out of the library yesterday, ran out and got a few gifts for Aut's stocking and a beautiful arrangement of Christmas flowers and brought them by the house. He asked me to help find some place to set out the flowers to show their best WOW factor for Aut to see when she walked in the door. I was happy to do that to help surprise Autumn. The RV park was very happy to extend our stay here and at the monthly rate which is MUCH cheaper than paying by the day. And we don't have to change our camp site either. We're going back to kids' today. I hope Amara is feeling better.

Fun coincidence - Autumn and Antonio both moved here 12 years ago - she from the west coast and he from the east coast. And the recently realized they both lived in the same apartment complex the first 6 months - but never saw each other. They didn't meet for another 6 or 7 years.

BECCA - I enjoyed your door decorations! Fun to do but not overwhelming. Doing those stockings is pretty intense. I'm not sure I'd want to do another one again either. Fortuntely, I have two more nearly finished that I did 18 years ago. Just none that suited Amara. But if they ever have a boy, I'm ready!

TINA - you are a quilting dynamo! Congrats on finishing all five tops! And only 3 more to quilt. You go, girl!!

LORI - I'm not much of a tea drinker but that cherry almond tea sound interesting. I might have to look for it. I do like spicy teas.

We have an extra cooked pork chop so I'm going to make pork fried rice for tonite. As soon as I finish typing this post our I'm going to start chopping up the pork chop, some celery, carrot, and onion. I know I'll be tired tonite. We will be stopping on our way home to pick up our grocery order so I'll have all that to put away, too.

What's on your menu for tonite?

Good morning all 🌞
Mary, you'll need a new SD card with all the pics you've been taking ❤️ I think you're there at the perfect fun age, but I think most ages are fun except the stinky attitude age and that varies.
I bet Antonio was glad to ba able to go shopping in time for Christmas, he's gonna want to keep you there forever LOL
I've got 2 quilts totally done and ready to wrap, I need to have Frankie look through boxes he's been setting aside and see if we have any the right sizes.
#3 is on the quilter, I'm hoping it'll be a done deal by days end. 🤞
I don't have a clue for supper yet, hopefully sometime else will cook, I cooked for 7 last night.

Good Morning,

Tina - Congratulations on finishing the tops and getting three done with two to go you will make it!

Maryz - DH watched the Seahawks game and was rooting for them to win. The first half was difficult for him to watch so maybe it was better not to have seen it.

Lori - Cherry Almond Tea sounds really good! I will have to look for it. Is it a green tea? I think Coffee and Tea Leaf had a Cherry Green Tea.

I have a list of things to do today, mostly in the Kitchen. The TW needs to have borders quilted and it is waiting patiently. Yesterday was a visit with the bone doctor (who is actually an Arthritis Specialist). The bone density test was back but the blood work taken the week before was not back. I thought a week was enough time but I guess I should have allowed more time because it still is not ready. The bone density test showed it has not changed from two years ago while on the meds. She was very happy with my exercise however. I showed her my phone record of 8,000 steps average for the year and she pointed out that is 1,000 miles of walking in a year. Wow, I am impressed with myself. She said that is top 5%. I will be looking for the blood work to come back. I can look at it on the computer.

Dinner tonight will be Pasta and Garden Vegetables (I think).

Mary and Carol, the tea comes from the Los Rios tea house in San Juan Capistrano. It has fresh sliced almonds that really enhance the flavor.
