Yesterday was a drizzly, breezy day - pretty gloomy until late afternoon when it cleared up and we were finally able to sit out for a while and enjoy the sunshine on our backs. Earlier in the day I mended Aut's duvet cover. Two big rips and lots of little ones plus "poke holes". I gave up on the poke holes. They live (and sleep) with three cats! It was pretty threadbare so we ordered them a new one for Christmas. This morning we have pictures to be taken in a park. Then we heard a rumor that we might be back at our babysitting job for the afternoon.
TINA - oh, that massage does sound a lot like a lymphatic massage or something similar. When is your next one? Wouldn't it be awesome if this is helpful to you! How neat to have the deer in your yard! Unless they are eating your plants of course. The last time we were at the kids there were 5 deer just across the lane from their front yard. Deer here are half the size of the ones at home. And they are EVERYWHERE! Even here in the RV park. You've never heard of chili over baked potatoes? You're missing a tasty treat! And if you want to really top it off add sour cream, shredded cheddar, raw or grilled onions, diced chilies, and/or guac.
BECCA - I think your car must be a real gem! And I can just picture sassy you zooming around in that little red sports car! Those were the days! My first car was a 1964 turquoise Impala. I guess it was kind of sporty for a big car. I loved it! I bet you are looking forward to your visit at Denise's and getting to meet Frankie! Don't forget to take lots of photos - especially 4-generation shots. Lara and Lee visited his grandmother in Concord, NC years ago when the boys were young but she forgot to take any pictures of them with their great-gramma! I want to see little Frankie!
LORI - yes, my hair is still blond. And I still don't like it. But I can hardly see it from where I'm sitting so I'm letting it go. It's just hair. But I sure won't be doing that again!! Sometimes it's a good thing to take a break from our craft. I have to say, I haven't missed sewing big projects too much. The break has been nice. But my Fab Farm Fabrics arrived yesterday so next week I'll start that quilt.
It's going to be a nice afternoon - 71* and sunny. So I took a steak out of the freezer. W e'll grill it and bake a potato to share. And I'll make a big salad.
What will you be having?
