Supper Club. Thurs, Nov 9

Good morning,
It’s a beautiful morning here in the Sonoran desert. The only vegetation is sagebrush, Mesquite, creosote bushes, and down in the washes, a few Palo Verde trees. Very different from the landscape at home full of snow-covered mountains and lush green trees.
Tonight we will camp in a saguaro forest near Tuscon. We always love this park and usually stay two nights, but this trip there was only one night available.
Carol, I’ve made a few Tennessee waltzes and I love that pattern. What is the “plan“ you were changing? Doing something different with that center block? Changing fabrics? Colors? I got well into a pattern once several years ago – a Bonnie hunter mystery quilt – and decided I did not like her color scheme so I did exactly what you are doing.
Tina, I’m glad the birthday party went well. You must have almost all your family birthdays within a six week period!
Lori, a coyote party is exactly the kind of party we do not allow Scotty to attend!
Becca, glad you found a perfect pair of pants! With thrift stores, some days they are diamonds, and some days are stone.
We will have the last of the chili tonight along with tortillas and celery with cream cheese filling, topped with smoked paprika.
Last night our kids sent us their Covid protocol for visiting them and it is very stringent. Good thing we have been quarantining ourselves all this trip. it seems a little over-the-top to us but on the other hand, Autumn has spent 10 years, $150,000, gone through numerous unpleasant medical procedures, and two husbands to get this baby and Covid is raging in Texas right now. We sure do not want to be the ones to break their protocol and infect our baby. So we will comply with everything they ask for.
What do the rest of your plan for your supper tonight?
