Good morning,

We're having a series of hard rain storms going through here so buckle up, Buttercups - they all go east!

We are about ready to shag out of here - this afternoon if we can get our Rx's - or else tomorrow morning. But first - I have 1 load of wash to do, vacuuming, sweep kitchen, water plants, and finish packing trailer fridge.

CAROL - Actually, Bill is the one who is chomping at the bit and I am the one who would be more apt to leave tomorrow. But 100 miles today and 250 tomorrow eases him into driving the 350 mile days ahead. I'm good with whatever he decides. I guess I don't know much about gas heat if you have to have the gas company come out and light your pilot light. I hope it stays lit for you all winter long! Bill used to have relatives living in So Cal and they did much of their living outdoors. Do you?

LORI - I hope you got your blocks finished up. Somedays life and it's necessary errands do crowd our sewing time!

BECCA - I would think any night with any of your family would top any night in your dining room! You are so lucky to have them all! The pictures Tina mentioned are over in Photos section.

TINA - Did you find a gift for Holly? Does she like earrings? Bracelet? Scarf? Special perfume? Or gift card to HL or Michael's? I have all sorts of ideas for other people, but truth be told, my kids have always told me I never give good gifts so I wouldn't accept any ideas from me! How's your ankle?

Tonight's supper will be a surprise! Both in menu and in location. Will we still be home or will we be on the road? I was going to make either spinach ravvies or orange chix & rice last night but we ended up going to friends for happy hour and snacks. So, one of those will be for tonite, wherever we are. They are both frozen but I think they'll survive an afternoon in the fridge.

Got any tasty ideas for your supper tonite?

No guarantees I'll be around while we're on the road, though I will try. We arrive in Austin Nov 13th and probably won't have the computer out until then so I'll be posting only with my phone. So someone else may need to set the table. Bon appetit`!

Mary, we were supposed to have orange chicken last night, but someone was BBQing burgers in the neighborhood and it smelled good. So we had grilled burgers too.

Carol, did the gas guy show you how to light the pilot in case it goes out? We used to light our own when we had that kind of water heater.

I got the blocks done yesterday. Lets see if I can get them together with sashing today.

Dinner will be chicken, rice and a vegetable.

Have a lovely day.

Good morning all 🌞
Safe travels Mary!
I decided to wait to find something for Holly in Cruces today, my budget is small; $20-$25 so we'll see what I can find.
Lori, burgers on the grill always smell so yummy to me too.
My ankle is a little better, I'm trying to save it so I can walk around Sam's and Hobby Lobby today plus make it back and forth to the tball fields from the parking lot. I'll manage.
I'm not quilting this morning before we leave so decided I'd plan my Nov lotto blocks, I've got the plan worked out and I'll go pull fabric....I may get some cut out too, we'll see.... just staying off my ankle as much as possible.
Supper will be a surprise for us tonight too, my main meal will be food for my heart; hugs from Matthew and Elijah ❀️ πŸ’™ πŸ’œ πŸ’–

Safe travels and I think you are wise to allow the driver to choose because he has to do the driving
Tina So glad your ankle is healing Do be careful I’m sure you can find Holly something special
Carol We always lite our own pilot light but if not sure best to call Best to never tamper with gas I was antsy when I did it alone but I managed fine
Lori You are always on the go but yet you get so much accomplished So great you help your Dad I was so grateful yesterday I was able to get my business problem solved without asking anyone to help It went smooth I had to settle a dispute on credit card but it’s all done
I choose Ham n cheese omelette and potatoe pancake May not eat it but nothing else I wanted.

We're back home.
I found Holly some perfect gifts for her birthday at Hobby Lobby, 2 angels and a figurine of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. I loved them so I know she will, we're alike like that.
We got home at 11pm, it's 11:30, we're putting things away.
Matthew's team won by forfeit, the other team didn't show up. Matthew's coaches did coach pitch to the kids and they all got to swing till they hit the ball and all got to made home runs, it was a blast!
We went up to Kevin's house and Maria had a math and science night that she had to teach at school so she couldn't go to the game. She picked up Elijah from her sister in law and Kevin carried him in in his carseat all covered over and when he uncovered him I said peek a boo, he smiled ear to ear and just lit up like a light bulb πŸ₯° he gave me tons of hugs πŸ«‚ πŸ€— and Mathew talked non stop and gave tons of hugs πŸ«‚ πŸ€— too.
It was a great evening and we're a happy exhausted.
