It's a brrr.... morning today! So glad I have my warm new jacket for my morning walks! I bought it a size too large, too, so I can wear heavier tops underneath on really cold days!
Yesterday was teeth cleaning. I had a new hygeniest - a young man just out of school. He was 27 and said his dream ever since he was 6 yrs old was to be a dental hygeniest. Who even thinks of a future career at 6 yrs old - let alone one in dentistry!? But he was good, gentle, friendly, and cute as a bug's ear. It was a good appointment. AFter that I helped Bill pull wire through the house from the new furnace up through the walls into the attic and back down to the upstairs hallway where the thermostat is - long story there but apparently this part of the installation wasn't included in our furnace guy's bid so Bill has to do it himself. I also did several loads of wash and paid a visit to my friend with the broken leg.
Today we're going to Costco to pick up 2 or 3 things and get our eyeglasses adjusted. Then some serious uglies - vacuuming and mopping. Our grandsons are coming tomorrow morning for "Christmas brunch". Looking so forward to seeing them!
LORI - I remember the stuff to paint on your hair. I never did it but knew lots who did. I didn't care for the frosted look. I figured I'd get it naturally soon enough! lol! And I did! And now look! And yes, I just might take matters into my own hands when we get to Texas - or turn myself over to Autumn's hairdresser and see if we can restore my red and let the gray shine! Happy birthday to your hubby! I'd forgotten that your birthdays were so close together.
CAROL - We spaced our shots out, too, over about 6 weeks. I know some of them can be given together without problems, but all of them at once seemed a bit overwhelming. I bet you have pretty hands. You keep up with your manicures. I usually do my own nails until the cuticles get too raggedy. But I would like to find a nail salon with someone who speaks English!
BECCA - that sounds like it was a lot of fun - helping with the pumpkin toss game. And a good way to meet more new people, too. You sure get a lot done in a day! I'm thinking of starting water aerobics when we get home from Texas. Our friends, Doyle & Susie, go to the "Y" and maybe I'll join their class.
TINA - sounds like teeth cleaning is the order of the day here! I loved my new hygeniest. He was younger than my grandson! He has a girlfriend, but he talked more about his mom than the GF.

Well, I checked the freezer and it looks like the next biggest thing in there is a pot roast, so that's what we're having tonight. I have a short grocery stop to make so I'll add potatoes, carrots, and onions to my list. Trying to eat the biggest foods first because they won't fit easily into our small trailer freezer. And I don't want to leave meats, etc in the freezer at home for an additional 3 months if I can help it.
Wish you all could join us - it's a small roast but still big for just two people. But since you can't, what's the plan at your house?
