Supper Club - Wed Oct 18

Good morning!
Yesterday turned out to be a rainy, rainy day. I would happily share the wealth with any of you who want it. Wouldn’t it be great if that were possible
We took a ride down the coast for a few hours. It’s always fun to visit the little towns along the way.
Tina, sorry the Mexican restaurant has gone downhill. They probably have new cooks or are cutting expenses with inferior ingredients. I would for sure let them know that their food has gotten so bad that you won’t be back. And didn’t you say a new Italian restaurant opened in town? Or did I dream that? did Kevin make it to your house?
Carol, a class in white glove etiquette? I never thought about that but it’s probably a good idea. They really need the class for the visitors to a quilt show. I try to make sure I keep my hands away from the quilts. Some are very tempting. You’ve reminded me there was a Quilt show in Gig harbor last Saturday. It was on my calendar but I forgot to go. I think we had dinner company that night and I was super busy through the day.
Lori. Have fun at the retreat! We will miss you.
Becca, how are things at your house? Yesterday was family day, wasn’t it?
Last nights dinner was stew. I put it in the crockpot and plugged it in inside the trailer. But the lights did not light. Tried several times, so I moved it to a different outlet and it did work. I tested the first outlet with the coffee maker and it worked fine so I don’t know what was going on. When we left to go on our ride down the coast, we put it outside to cook but didn’t trust it so we stopped and bought a new crockpot at Ace Hardware. After eight hours of cooking, the last two on high, vegetables were still partially hard, so I’m thinking we made a good decision buying a new unit. Though since we had it outside for several hours, perhaps that’s what slowed the cooking. More investigation is warranted, I think.
Tonite we are grilling burgers. I’m also going to make a salad and we will probably have some tater tot’s.
Have you got a supper plan to share?
