Good morning,

Our dog is all barky this morning. I wonder what kind of critter is passing through this time. We don't see them all. And of course, this is the dog that had a fit when he noticed the dishrag hanging over the kitchen faucet. So who knows!

Yesterday was shopping at Costco and Freddie's and then putting it all away. After that, I got The Third Flannel Shirt halfway cut out, I'll finish that this morning and then do some UGH-lies. I need to clean the bathroom, mop the kitchen, and vacuum and dust. We're having a BBQ tonite but we won't eat outside because the temp is dropping to only about 69* this evening. We'll probably have a happy hour campfire and then all move inside for supper. There will be 8 of us. So I don't think there will be much sewing today.

TINA - So, you do still have A/C in the main part of the house? With your temps, I sure hope so! Does Dad have A/C? I think the deadline to sign up for your Christmas swap is coming up soon. I've got 10 blocks made and am ready!

BECCA - I'm glad you were finally able to carry out CA's final wishes. Whew! What a year you've had! Your emotions must be spinning with all the changes, good and bad, that you've gone through in the past year. Hopefully now life will settle down for you.

Tonite's menu is pork loin, brined and put on the grill. Since we've not done this before, we're kind of shooting from the hip. It's a lot of meat for our little grill and I have no idea how long it will take. It's a big loin in two pieces. Internet says about 2 hrs, cooking slowly. I'm also making applesauce, twice-baked potatoes, and rolls. Others are bringing appetizers, salad, and dessert. I'm betting tomorrow we'll be eating BBQ pork sandwiches.

What's happening on your plate tonite?

Good evening all 🥰
Mary, your cookout sounds wonderful! Enjoy! If it was 69° here I'd be outside enjoying that temp! And opening all my windows! LOL
Yes, thankfully our main AC in the house is working and Frankie almost has mine ready to install in my sewing room ❤❤
The deadline for signing up for the Christmas block swap is just 4 days away, Friday the 14th..... looks like it's going to be a small swap.
Becca, I'm so glad you've made a new friend ❤ How was your visit with Brodee and Hadlee and Mom and Dad of course 😊
I'm having a day, my leg is really hurting today and I have no idea what I did to it to make it hurt. I'm icing it and trying to stay off it as much as possible.
I used my air fryer for supper, I made chicken patties, mashed potatoes and corn..... can you tell we eat better when I'm feeding Jazmyne LOL

We were driving most of the day, so dinner was pizza and a salad. We are going to Pt. Lobos tomorrow afternoon. I think it will be a quilt shop and a bookstore too.
