SUPPER CLUB - Wed, June 28th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Jun 28, 2023 6:43 am

Good morning,

It's a nice morning and I'm out on the deck. The owls were here again, playing in the trees next to the deck. One landed on the corner of the deck roof and kept leaning over peeking at me. So cute! And I have little birds on the other side of the deck helping themselves to big, messy breakfasts at the birdfeeder. And the rooster and his chickens are getting their cluck on next door. What a "fowl" morning I'm having!

BECCA - you must have found a new doctor, or at least an allergist, close by your new home. And a great way to eat ice cream! A little bit a day. Nice that Denise is closer to you now. But I'm betting you are missing Beth's Bakery!

LORI - there is no moving the trees on Vicki's property! They are HUGE. Think ancient redwood huge. And vaulable. Giant western red cedars, maples, and firs. Your sewing room is about the size of mine! 10x10. I have a lot crammed into that room. And my fur boys hang out with me in there, too. In fact, Foxy's dish of dry food and his basket are in there.

CAROL - our friends are telling us that the other big medical system here, Franciscan, now outsources their appt-making phone calls - to India!! So far, we aren't having much problem with ours, but I expect it's coming. I've listened to two of the shorter stories by A.F. The main character in those is Charlotte, the cousin. And of course, Jethro. They are 3 hours of listening time. The regular books are about 9 hours long. 4-1/2 hrs for an oil change?? That's ridiculous! In our household, anything to do with cars or computers or septic systems are blue jobs. Laundry and cooking and gardening are pink jobs.

TINA - I signed up for your Christmas swap, though I'm not sure yet what block I want to do. I have an idea but no pattern, just a photo. So I need to see if I can work up a pattern - not my forte`!

We're going grocery shopping today so any idea I have for supper will probably change. At this time, though, I'm thinking penne pasta with pesto since I never made it earlier this week. And a great big salad! We've been out of fresh veggies for a few days and I'm missing my salads!

What's on your menu for tonite?

Good morning all!
Mary, your peek a boo game with the owls sounds way cool, I love to watch owls.
Our low was 73 this morning.
Send me your block photo you found please, I'd like to take a peek.
Today will be filled with ugly uglies.....vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms, laundry....the whole enchilada!
Supper will be chicken alfredo, one of Jazmyne's favs.

Good afternoon!

Not much around here. Thunderstorms are starting to build and pop off. So we are a bit muggy until the rain falls.

Karlie is trying to pack toys, but is easily squirreled, so more playing than actual packing. That's OK, she's learning, which is a good thing.

I've got laundry going and decided to re-do, re-arrange my closet. I've got shirts that need to be down graded to scrubby work shirts and a whole bunch of new shirts fit to be worn in public. Don't want to mistaken for a homeless old lady! Some will be recycled into rags or just thrown out!

Dinner - something simple and quick, especially made ahead, as the kids are busy taking stuff to the new house. I'm still trying to figure that out. Dinner will be quite different when it's back to just Michael and me.

Mary - the owl was giving you practice for playing with Kumquat in a few weeks! The puppies aren't coming with my girls. Just them. Bill will probably be needed to help back up the rig, as Sandee and Sarah are really rookies! Hopefully he's willing. All the other camp grounds are pull through spaces, they are staying at. This is the maiden voyage for the new truck and RV.

Tina - so nice to have Jaz there so much. She's near her car. How's the repair coming?

Well, time to switch laundry,

Hugs,
Jana

Good Evening,

Maryz - How cool to have owls play with you!

Tina - I did three loads of laundry and cleaned house a bit too.

Jana - Does your house feel emptier?

Dinner was Lentil Barley Vegetable Skillet and also a green salad. It was delicious!

Carol
