Good morning,
June is halfway over already! In the winter, time seems to slow down - just like molasses - but come summertime - it's like we're all rolling downhill - it goes so quickly! I'm already starting to make lists of what I want to take when we go south in November.
Yesterday I think all I did was sew my Aug OWL block and get a start on Sept. Today - more of that but this afternoon MIGHT be warm enough to work outside. We'll see . . . It's only 47* this morning.
BECCA - Nice to have supper with your family. They must live close to you. Alex your son or your grandson? Have you found a place to set up your sewing machine yet?
JANA - I wouldn't sew on paint either! But great resolution to the problem! Staples!! I once had to make a log cabin quilt for an auction - in three days! I made it! Used El's Log Cabin book. But talk about pressure!
CAROL - I guess you win the messy garage contest!
I bet your neighbors weren't happy that day!
Tonite we're moving on to new food. I think I'll make a homemade turkey pepperoni pizza. We haven't had that in a long time.
What's cookin' at your house?

Good Morning,
This morning I cooked some Farro and some Quinoa. We will be having one or the other for dinner tonight. I will make salads today.
Maryz - Luckily with three trash trucks in the neighborhood and people using weed whackers and hedge trimmers all day my neighbors didn't seem to notice. It is cool here and windows were closed. My neighbor across the street is in his 80's and nearly deaf. I was surprised my next door neighbor didn't say anything. I didn't leave the house in case someone thought there was a real fire and called the fire department. All is quiet this morning happily!!
I am making progress on sewing down the applique. I finished the pumpkins yesterday and have the bats done. I also finished one spider and cut out the last two to sew down. I will be sewing down the eyes soon too. I think there needs to be some embroidery. The lines on the pumpkins I think will be done when quilting.
I need to go to the gym, then I want to work in the yard for a bit and sew for a while this afternoon. The sidewalks are wet this morning, but it supposed to be 70* today.
Have a great day everyone!
Carol

Carol, the sound of a smoke detector would drive the dogs and cat crazy. I would have to find it. I can't wait to see your Halloween quilt.
Mary, I haven't had time to work on my OWL quilt. I might get some tracing done today.
Becca, do you have a place to sit and sew at you new home?
Yesterday I had a class with Sheila Collins called "Posies in Sunshine." I had to leave early for a dental appointment for a cleaning. I did get all the instruction before I left so I can finish it up. She also said contact her if I had any questions. I really enjoyed the class. When I go home I worked a couple things and cleaned up my cutting table. It was full of stuff again. The creative process is messy.
Today I'm going to sew with my friendship group. Everything is still packed from yesterday, so I load it back in the car. I should have just left it in the car, but I was tired and didn't think about it.
Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning!
Out running around and then will head back home shortly. My little girls will be here later this afternoon. So dinner will include them, so it's spaghetti.
Carol - that sound would have driven me bananas! Even the little chirp does until we find which one of the many smoke alarms in this house.
So not much new at my house. Just patiently, not, watching the clock. Kari is worse than me! The kids found some beautiful end tables and cocoa table on a local sell site here and bought them. The furniture has a very distinctive foot, so Kari searched and found the same set, new price was 2500 for the cocoa table! They got all 3 pieces and a mirror for 600. A good deal I'd say. No scratches or anything wrong either.
Time to scoot,
Hugs,
Jana

Oh, a cocoa table is more commonly called a coffee table, but since we don't drink coffee, we call it a cocoa table.
