SUPPER CLUB - Monday, June 5th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Jun 05, 2023 6:15 am

Good morning,

We are off this morning. Last evening was chilly enough to drive us inside from the deck, and this evening will be the exact opposite - 90's! We will have A/C in our trailer but with four couples, the meals, visiting, etc will be outside. Hard to fit 8 people into one rig! Though, now that I think about it, Tex & Annette have a 40' fiver and enough seating for us all. . .. . Won't they be surprised! But Bill says he has a tarp on board that we might be able to put up for shade. Not much natural shade in the part of the campground we'll be in. Plus, we are taking 2 big fans. I just hope the power doesn't fail in the park.

LORI - safe travels to you tomorrow. How long will you be gone? Is your DGD's wedding going to be a large affair or a small family ceremony?

CAROL - you are so right - men are babies - just never seem to grow up. Some days it's like being a mom to a little kid all over again. I would love your quinoa dish!

TINA - yes, we have A/C in our fiver and use it. But we will be driving (A/C!) and in cooled wineries much of the day. However, late afternoons and evenings will be outside with everyone. Most people we know who have a koi pond have some kind of barrier over it - gridded wire, mesh, etc. to protect fish from predators. But your turtles might not like that.

Well, supper tonite will be tacos. Tomorrow, Tex is making everyone spaghetti. After that, I don't know. But I have enough frozen burgers on board plus the makings for a 5-bean salad, and a cantaloupe to feed everyone. So no starving concerns! I also have a big box of Nutty Buddies in the freezer for afters.

See you next weekend!

Good morning everyone!
Mary, wish I could send you some warmth for your evenings at home, our AC was running at 11pm but then it took a nice nosedive and we opened windows and we sleep with our ceiling fan on, we sleep better in the coolness.
Safe travels to you all! I hope it cools down to 80 for you while you're there!
We can't put anything over our pond because the turtles, they get in and out all day long and walk around the yard. I love watching them! They follow us around like little puppies. Plus our water plants would get tangled in a net if we had one.
Well we're waiting to hear from a salvage yard on parts for Jazmyne's car, we may be taking a little trip today or tomorrow. She's still staying with us LOL she's supposed to go home tomorrow or Wednesday, we'll see.
Supper tonight is up in the air until I know if we're going anywhere. Hopefully that'll be in the next couple of hours.
Tina

Mary, I know you are having a fun trip even if it's hot. I thinks it's just family and a few friends. I'll be close to where Jana live.

Tina, we shut the A/C off at night and open up when it's hot. There's only been a few times we left it on all night. I don't like the noise.

I got all my running around done. I'll pack in the morning. Now to go sit a bit.

Dinner will be something easy. Maybe orange chicken and rice.

Have a lovely day.
Lori 8-)
