SUPPER CLUB - Friday, May 5th

Good morning,

We've got rain and low 50's so I guess I'll just settle in for the day. Though we do need to go to Costco. I was at regular grocery store yesterday, bought strawberries to make jam, and had just enough sugar (even emptied the sugar bowl!) to make one batch. I have berries for another batch so I need to get more sugar pronto. Plus a short list of other things.

So I didn't get a lot of sewing time yesterday - just a bit of fusing on OWL. Today - Costco, more jam, and then maybe some sewing.

BECCA - From all you've been able to tell us about your new place it sounds like it will be nice. All the company you might want and quiet time when you don't. How is Frankie doing? And her mom?

LORI - I love T-storms, too. At least the few we have here. They can get pretty nasty in other parts of the country. We enjoy sitting out on the covered deck and watching weather when it's warm enough. If we get really hard rain, I call my sis and let her listen to it over the phone. She misses PNW rain. Mike and I were riding in a car once and lightening hit a tree we were passing. Too close for comfort!

CAROL - I've always been willing to serve on a jury but they just don't want me which used to disappoint me. They tend to dismiss crime victims.

JANA - what an exciting day Gracie had! And how proud of her parents she must be! :D Hooray for no leaks! Is your kitchen back to normal now?

Without even remembering that it's Cinqo de Mayo, I was planning fajitas for our supper tonite and it's passed thru committee (meaning Bill has given his approval). Sometimes I ask his opinion just to give him the illusion that he's being included in the decision making process.

Are you going Mexican tonite or do you have another plan?

Good morning!

With it being Cinco de Mayo, we'll be dining on tacos, rice, beans and Chile rellanos.

Mary - the kitchen is semi back in order. We still have some base boards to be replaced and painted.

Not much happening here. Just puttering around the house doing a few this and that's. Laundry is one of those.

Chilly and cloudy. A bit too cold for a thunderstorm, but who knows for sure. I can see snow falling across the valley on the tall mountains. Just what we need, more snow!

Hugs,
Jana

Good Evening,

I did my usual laundry, clean bathrooms and go to the gym. I made (homemade) Fresh Tomato Soup for dinner and we had cheese and crackers. It was a beautiful day here today.

Becca - Glad you are getting out to walk.

Jana - Glad you are on the side of a hill and cannot get flooded, but I know the Great Salt Lake needed a lot of water. Gracie must have had lots of stories when she got home yesterday.

Maryz - You may keep the rain or send it East for now. So. California has had enough. I think Oregon still needs some though. Glad you got out your spare machine. You have too many projects to make to wait three or four weeks.
