Good morning!

Well, our warm weather is gone. We had a nice thunderstorm last night and enjoyed it while sitting out on the deck. No rain. Thunder doesn't happen here very often so we call it "entertainment". (and I'm just now hearing more thunder this morning!) Today we'll be back in the 50's again for at least another week so I'm done in the yard for now. Whew. My back needed a rest. I gave my chiropractor a good workout yesterday and today, my massage therapist. You see - I've got my best people on the job! :D I'm going to relax and fiddle around in my sewing room and do nothing else for the rest of the day. Ahhhh......

CAROL - I hope your hubby gets off jury duty if he wants off. But I would think it would be interesting. I've been rejected twice. Our good friend served on a 5-week murder trial a few years ago. He found it interesting and the perp was found guilty. Once, we were gone for 3 months and Vicki next door got our mail. (this was before she had gone totally 'round the bend) Fortunately, she saved all the trash mail in a separate basket and in there I found a jury summons for me - long out of date! I called, explained what happened, and they laughed and said no big deal. But that's when we finally got a private mail box at the UPS store.

IRISH - We traveled the entire length of the PA Turnpike back in 1997. We well remember the potholes! And the hubcap shops along the way. They picked up hubcaps by night and sold them by day. And we know they got one of ours!! So how big is your lawn that Kevin brings a tractor to mow it?! I was thinking a little postage stamp place. Maybe we need some pictures . . . . You are going to have such a good time up on that mountain! Electricity or not. Have fun!

JANA - I hope your dishwasher(s) behave and no leaky surprises! Neat that you have flamingos. I only have one and he looks lonely, standing in my small field of crocosmia. At least you don't have to spend days doing yard work - yet .

BECCA - it's fun to contemplate and begin to prepare for your new home. Pretty new things to make it your own will be nice. Have you ever lived by yourself before? I don't think I have.

LORI - no, hamburger buns aren't hard to make at all. Sort of like making bread. They are a little more dense than store-bought. Judi gave me her recipe and she says they freeze quite nicely. I would be happy to share with you.

I made those buns yesterday and also a small potato salad to have with hamburgers. The burgers are gone, the buns are frozen, and we still have half a bowl of potato salad left. So we'll grill again tonite - chicken - and add a green salad, too.

How about you?

Becca, you took my pretty weather. haha

Mary, I think I'll look up a recipe for Brioche buns on line. They are my favorite. I love a good thunder storm. When we had the house in Illinois, we had some good storms usually in the summer. One bolt of lightening hit in the front yard and took out the neighbors telephone. It was crazy to see it that close.

We had a good little rain storm overnight and this morning. I love a spring storm. We don't get them very often. The plants and flowers are very happy.

I'm going to make baked pasta for dinner. It's a cool day perfect for that. And maybe a salad to go with it.

Have a lovely day.

Good Morning,

I had a manicure this morning then went to grocery store. This afternoon I have a much needed haircut.

Maryz - DH considers jury duty his civic duty. He has not been seated in the jury box and answered lawyers questions. Routinely the lawyers dismiss engineers who question things too much.

Irish - The roads here have suffered from the rain with many potholes so I feel for you.

Jana - Well, did the dishwasher leak?

Becca - Nice to have new things for your new place. I lived alone for more than 20 years before I was married. My Fast Hash Recipe is one I made when I was single. You have been cooking for yourself a long time and I am sure you have lots of ideas. DH and I are both over 70. In California you can write your own medical excuse if over aged 70, however DH and I are both healthy. We also are willing to go to Jury Duty.

Lori - I too have made Hamburger Buns. It has been many years since I did so however.

Dinner tonight will be leftover Parmesan Chicken. I do not plan on making anything but a salad and vegetable.

Carol

Good afternoon!

In between times with school runs today. No idea on dinner. No leaks in either dishwasher, so all is good there. I'll still keep a eye on it.

Mary - what an adorable little one! Has she got her parents trained yet?

Well, it's our afternoon thunderstorm. It's supposed to rain off and on for the next few days. Daniel is trying to finish up the rain gutter drainage system in the front yard and he doesn't want to work in mud. Silly boy!

Gracie was on a field trip over to our city hall today. That's where the police station is too.. Aaron met the class there and was introduced to them as Gracie's dad. So, every office that the class toured, Gracie asked the person if they knew her Dad. They did, we are a relatively small town. She is very proud of her Dad. I can't wait to get her this afternoon from school and hear of ev,

Well, it's time for me to go, Lila's first pick up,

Hugs,
Jana
