SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, April 13

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Apr 13, 2023 6:56 am

Good morning,

We had a dry day yesterday and we hit 55* briefly. Whoopee! I got a small start on cleaning the garage. Hope to get back to that this afternoon. I finally, after about 4 years, have my crazy quilt on our bed. And Bill walked through the bedroom and didn't even notice! But in his defense, he was on the phone at the time, arranging his appt for a colonoscopy. His mind was elsewhere. So I'm giving him a pass this time. This morning I plan to get my March lotto winnings together before going out to work in the garage. If you are interested in seeing what the blocks look like, check out the March lotto. Val and Mary q posted photos in that thread.

VELDA - I bet your new short haircut will feel so light and free! You'll love it!

LORI - your butterfly quilt will be so pretty! So,what did you finally decide for the HSH swap? Last you reported you were testing out a dog house block but had made no decision yet.

BECCA - I love hearing roosters! Our neighbors have about 11 chickens (1 or 2 are roosters) and I love hearing them crow. All day long! Nature's music!

JANA - I am hoping the attorney can get things all straightened out for your nephew and he get's a good, fair judge. Will landscaping continue today?

I made chicken parm last night. There ended up being so much that I called our friends who are always up for something spontaneous and they came over to help us eat it! I also had linguini, salad, and garlic bread. Plus apple pie and ice cream. We have just enough of everything left over for us tonite.

How's your supper plan coming along?

Good snowy morning!

Yes, you read that right. It's snowing after being 80 yesterday! Not sticking to the roads, just the dirt.

Dinner last night was yummy. My sweet pork tacos were a hit. No leftovers, so new food. With being cold, chili may appear. Maybe even on a hot dog.

Doing a few uglies and sewing on my stars. It's the never ending project! LOL! In a few minutes we run Lila to preschool. Then a quick milk run at Costco.

The littles had fun playing on the new pile of dirt yesterday. We have a small pedal tractor with a trailer that all have out grown, but still love and that toy is now sitting atop of the dirt. We had dirt in shoes as well as dirty hands and faces. These are little girls! Not all that dainty! LOL!

Mary - Daniel has been organizing and cleaning our garage. It's a workshop too. He's done a good job.

Went on here later this afternoon, thought I had posted, it wasn't there - came home and saw I forgot to hit the button!

Now I did,
Jana

Good Afternoon,

Another busy day here! I am not sure what I am getting done but I have been keeping busy. We met with banker today. We updated our trust and needed to update our bank account. The other bank will be done next Monday.

Maryz - Your Crazy Coverlet is just beautiful! I am sure your March Lotto winnings are also beautiful.

Jana - So good that your nephew has his sister and cousins to help him out. Glad he is accepting help too. Bet your littles had fun on the pile of dirt! Nothing like a pile of dirt to have fun. Who was Queen of the hilltop?

Becca - You sound so, so peaceful! It must be not having so many responsibilities! Relax and enjoy your family.

Lori - I too want to see your butterfly quilt. One of the first quilts I made was butterflies.

I did manage to sew a little today. I need to finish a block for the Guild project.

Dinner tonight will be Ham and Swiss Sandwiches on Rye. I will melt the cheese and add a tomato too.
Think I will make French fries to go with them.

Mary, I have a picture of a dog house, but have yet to draft a pattern. Maybe next week.

Carol, I remember your butterfly quilt. It's really pretty.

I went with friends to a new quilt shop in Mission Viejo. Then to dinner and a quilt guild down there. Their speaker was Robin Pickens.
She was fantastic. Her fabrics and quilts are really nice.

Dinner was Thai/Chinese restaurant.

Sleep well.
