It's Palm Sunday today. It seems we just got Christmas put away and here it is - almost Easter. But I guess I say that every year. We have no Easter plans. We invited our two grandsons, but they both asked it we could get together Tuesday after Easter instead and could we have pizza.
Yesterday I worked on my cats. I have them all traced and 11 of them fused and stitched down. I have 5 more to do and then some embellishments - butterflies, cute little mice, etc. I hope to start putting the blocks together this coming week. Bill is slowly quilting my Christmas Blizzard. Only two more tops in the QQ - Chandelier and Crazy. Though I won March lotto so that will be put together before long and so will Cats. So we'll be back up to 4 again pretty soon.
BECCA - It's good to hear Baby Frannie's first night home was a good one. Nights can be tough for brand new parents. What games are you playing with Avery? We played a lot of games with our kids all the way up until they left home. Hi Ho Cherry-o was one of their favorites when they were little.
LORI - you've been productive! Will you post a pic of your spool quilt? I really liked your mini churn dash. What's next?
VELDA - sorry your pork loin didn't turn out as well as you'd wished. My mom always poked whole cloves of garlic into slits in the roast, browned it, and then slow roasted it in the oven. It was always purrfect. I do it the same way but usually use the crockpot. However, I seem to have a tendency to overcook it which makes pork tough. So it's not my go-to company meal.

JANA - so, what did you decide on your sides last night with your burgers? I LOVE potato or pasta salad, but we usually opt for canned baked beans (when it's just us). Any word yet on your landscaper? I suppose you have to wait until the snow is gone but it would be nice to at least be on his calendar. I bet your little girls' dresses are so cute. Mom used to make ours when we were little and mine was always blue and my little sister's was always pink - our favorite colors. We are only 13 months apart. (She isn't the sister we camp/travel with who is 9 yrs older than I am.)
CAROL - your neighborhood sounds pretty. Can you see the water from your house/yard? And in case you were wondering, we have your brine recipe and always brine our pork roasts now.
TINA - You can always look up the address of the owner next door and write him a letter. It probably won't do much good but it might make you feel better to vent your feelings. Though, don't forget that old adage about honey and vinegar. . . . We've simplified our yards here. I love flowers but let most of them go as it's getting harder to take care of them. We're trying to make things easier as we get older.
Well, Bill gave my stuffed peppers a firm thumbs down last night. Guess I won't make those again. So tonite we're going with orange chicken over rice with a side salad. I know he likes that.
I hope you like your supper tonite!
