SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Feb 13th

Good morning,
JANA - happy birthday!! I'm hoping there is cake in your very near future. And I'd really like it to be white cake with chocolate frosting. yum! That icy rescue training chilled me just reading about it!
VELDA - happy birthday to your pastor. It would also be my DFIL's 103rd birthday on the 15th. In our house we see nothing wrong with cake for breakfast! Super Bowl commercials just don't have the pizzazz they used to. And none of us liked the halftime show. We never figured out if she was even singing in English.
CAROL - Did you hear? The KC Chiefs won! lol! I was rooting for them! I make tomato basil soup the lazy way - one can of Campbell's tomato soup, water added, plus 1 can of diced Italian tomatoes. Then I add dried basil. It actually is as good as what I've gotten in most restaurants.
BECCA - your new place sounds like it will have lots of great choices for you. Did you watch the game?
I had baked potato bar for supper for our friends last night. I tried baking the potatoes in the crock pot. It worked well. I'd never tried that before. And the last hour, I tucked foil-wrapped bread sticks in on top of the potatoes to heat. My homemade chili was good, too, but there's plenty left over so that will be supper again tonite.
What is happening on your plate tonite?
