SUPPER CLUB Wednesday, August 31st

Post by gershwin64 » Wed Aug 31, 2022 8:02 am

Good morning everyone!
I'm in my sewing room and thought I'd pop in.
Lori, you sure are getting those quilts out!
Jana, congrats on getting closet cleaned out and new smaller clothes moved in! Can Michael do my September budget too? LOL I'd rather sew.
Becca, are you having a less stressful day? I sure hope so, yoooouuuuuu need a relax day 🥰
Carol, we get those boosters too, every time a baby is born.
I'll be back

Ok, I'm back....I was needed. Then I got sidetracked with little messes LOL
Supper tonight might be chicken fried steaks done in there air fryer, maybe fries in the air fryer and a veggie.
What are you all having?

Good morning!

Gracie is at school, Lila is playing and I am trying to figure something for dinner. Aaron has a late meeting, so I will be feeding them too. My brain is thinking of tuna cassarole. They all like that. Plus I can make it early this afternoon.

No sewing until later this afternoon. We are having a bit of not following rules around here. They seem to disappear over to Sandee's and we don't know they are gone. It usually happens when they are supposed to be doing a chore. Why am I not surprised! LOL! So I am thinking of adding a noisy cowbell to the front door handle. Maybe even the laundry room door that leads to the garage.

Tomorrow is Kate's oral exam and physical test to see if see gets in the fire academy. Currently she is a advanced EMT, so goes on calls for that, not actually fighting the flames. The department here wants to eliminate all part time positions, which she is. If she makes the academy, it will be a full time job. We are pretty sure she'll make it. She's on duty and so the crew is giving her practice on all the questions. Her Captain has pull on the hiring board and that helps. This Captain is begging Daniel to come work for them too. We doubt Daniel will, he says he's getting too old to do that anymore. When Daniel left his department in California, he was a captain too.

Do fun things!
Hugs,
Jana

Jana, you have your hands full with that little one.

Tina, What are you working on in your sewing room?

I posted a picture of the Halloween swap quilt top in the swap thread. I need to figure out the back and get it together.

Dinner will be Halibut, pasta, and broccoli.

Have a lovely day.

Lori, I've been straightening up in my sewing room and have some burp clothes ready to sew.
I saw your Halloween quilt, it's awesome!

Yes Lila is a handful, but add in Karlie and Gracie too - oh my, I have trouble cubed!

In fact, while Lila was at Sandee's yesterday, she asked Sandee if Scott was dead. Sandee answered yes. Then our very blunt Lila said good. Took Sandee by surprise, so she asked Lila why that was good. Lila said, because Scott is in heaven, and Jesus is in heaven too and Jesus makes everyone happy, so Scott is happy. The way a four year old looks at the world. Sandee then understood and was OK with the question.

Dinner tonight will be chicken, potatoes, salad and vegetable. I have the chicken marinating.

Jana - Seems those little girls have too easy of a way out to get out of chores! I laugh at the cow bell. At first I thought you were going to put one on them. LOL Good luck to Kate on passing the exam. She is sure to pass. Glad Sandee can handle questions from the four-year-old.

Lori - I just looked at your quilt. It is really cute. You will have something nice to put out in October.

Tina - Glad you are in your sewing room.

Becca - Good thoughts are flowing your way and my prayers too are with you.

I just returned from a short walk. Four houses to the north of us I look and there is a power line dangling and in the street is another line. I went home and got DH. Just as we got there the homeowner arrived. He was on the phone with the Dept of Water and Power. I might add not getting anywhere fast. I don't think anyone has arrived yet. It is trash day here today and I heard one of the trash trucks stop and men were talking. I think their truck took out the line.

I did get a little bit done in the sewing room today. Hope to get a little more this evening.

Carol
