SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Aug 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Aug 24, 2022 7:13 am

Good morning,

Busy here. Showered and have first load of laundry in. Having coffee on the deck with Al. And chiropractor is in a few hours. Al & Tina are going to their son's in Seattle for overnight visit tonight so we'll be alone for about 36 hours. :D

It's been a great visit but I've spent every waking hour of every day for the last ten days with someone next to me, talking, My ears are tired. Today is laundry, remake trailer bed, pack some camping clothes. We're all going camping Sun, Aug 28 for 4 nights. Also, Autumn ordered Nutcracker Suite fabric and had it sent to me. 12 yds focus fabric for borders and backing, and 32 FQ's and half-yd cuts. Now to figure what to do with it all!

IRiSH - so good to hear from you! I was hoping you were off galivanting and not sick again. I hope you are all well from your illness. I bet the beach air was refreshing.

BECCA - Good to hear Mark is making progress. He will have a long road.

CAROL - Sounds like you are making good use of your new freed up hours! Fun!

JANA- I bet those little girls are floating on air right now!

This is short again because I'm trying to type and carry on a conversation at the same time. Good thing I can type without looking. Supper tonite for just Bill and me and it's going to be leftovers that I'm pulling out of the freezer. Chicken enchiladas, I think. And a salad.

Carol, I bet it's nice not to be in charge anymore. I've had other board positions, but never President. Currently I'm the Parliamentarian. I'm also on several committees trying to get things more organized.

Mary, You sure have had a busy week. I like my quiet time too.

Jana, I bet those little girls are having so much fun. Lots of fun memories being made.

Becca, you seem to be really busy. Hope you take some time for yourself. Even if it's just 10 minutes.

Hi Irish. Always good to hear from you.

I repotted the house plant this morning after my walk with Jack. Now I'll see what trouble I can get into in my sewing space.

Dinner will be grilled chicken, pasta, and zucchini.

Have a lovely day.

Hi everyone!
Our new grandson arrived yesterday! Elijah he weighed 7 pounds and it 19 ¼" long. Mommy and baby are doing great!
It was funny, Maria went to the dr Monday and they checked her all out and said no sign yet of getting ready for delivery..... about 18 hours after that appointment he was here! 🤣😂 guess he showed those dr's huh.
Not sure about supper, Frankie had dental work done today and we finally got the county out about the flooding. We are about 90% of the flood waters off our property now. We had a couple not good sleep nights, we were worried it would flood our house. Frankie has been working his hiney off trying to make sure that didn't happen.

Good afternoon!

Just got home from a quick run to the scavenger store - to mail a package and a letter that needed to be certified and return receipt. I hate this insurance company! They sold us a bill of goods when we signed up for this coverage, many many years ago, that our rate and coverage would not change. It's for long term care, if and when it's needed. It was through the company we worked for, well, now they want over $700 a month for what we originally signed up for, but there is a offering that is only $100 a month, with what is acceptable coverage. It's a large discussion, I want to just get rid of it, but Michael doesn't, so this is a comprimize and we will save the extra money oueselves, and spend it later! LOL! so we want to make sure that the company got the letter with the changes and that we can prove that the letter got there!

Dinner - found a Korean BBq sauce for dinner tonight that uses thinly sliced beef. I'll serve it over rice with green beans. I like to try new things and we will see if Karlie will try it. She'll eat things new, if Grandma cooks.

I was a bad girl a few minutes ago, I just ordered a bunch of new clothes - shirts and pants that fit. I am very tired of my pants falling off as I walk! Everything on the website said that the clothes were in stock, so I ordered them. My tattletale from the bank will tell Michael that I did. He knows that I needed these things.

Ethan sprained his foot last night at Sandee's. Horsing around and not paying attention and tripped and fell through that baby gate to keep the puppies where they belong. Ripped it from the wall and made a hole in the wall too. We thought that maybe it was broken, but no just sprained a bit. He's in a boot for awhile.

Well, everything is posted to my accounts and I need to smell some cotton - it's been too long!

Hugs,
Jana
