SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, June 9th
Good morning,
We are having a rainy morning here, after several nice days camping. But at least it's not the T-storm variety of rain we went through last week while at our friends in OR! But this will be a 4-day "atmospheric river" coming in off the Pacific so those of you east of me and who receive our weather when we are done with it, be on the lookout - you will be getting wet.
We have our trailer mostly emptied. I plan to finish that today, wash clothes, and clean the fridge. We came home still stocked with plenty of food so I won't be shopping for a few days yet. I also want to do a couple blocks for the June Lotto. It's a fun one this month - RWB block of quilter's choice. But I'm not sure I'll get to that today. And tomorrow is going to be busy, too.
IRISH - your eaglets are ready to fly! I'm keeping watch. It's exciting but bittersweet. I've gotten pretty attached to those little guys, especially Eighteeen, the "runt of the litter".
JANA - you are almost ready! I can only imagine everyone's excitement.
CAROL - I have my magical ways! lol! Nice to celebrate life the way you do!
I haven't figured out supper yet for tonite. But my hubby, who never liked hot dogs when we met, has requested them for tonite! Shocker. But we do have them and two buns that need to be used, so I guess that will be our supper. I also have just enough leftover beans and the makin's for coleslaw.
What will you find on your plate tonite?

Good morning!
Mary, how nice you're having rain! We had a sprinkle come through last night, it had tons of lightening and one crack scared the bajeebas out of me and Frankie!
We seldom eat hotdogs but they're nice and easy every once in awhile.
I made meatloaf last night, Dad requested it. I'll be having a meatloaf sandwich for lunch, yummy!
I have bbq red Chile and meat thawing for supper tonight, it makes awesome burritos.
We hit 102° yesterday, we will again today....well for the next 8 days at least we'll be over 100° I'm staying in as much as possible.

Tina, can I come over for dinner? That sounds yummy.
Mary, I don't eat hot dogs ever. Bummer your friends didn't show to enjoy all the good food you brought.
I got home yesterday from a short trip. A friend of mine just retired a few months ago, so we spent a couple nights at Harrah casino in SoCal. We drove out to Julian on Wednesday morning to get pie.
That's close to were Eleanor used to have her retreats. The pie was fabulous.
Not sure what we'll have for dinner. I need to do some shopping.
Have a lovely day.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, June 9th
Hi there y'all!
Got the scavenger hunt over, done and all put away. Found all but one ot two things I wanted. They have been missing for awhile. Ethan came down and help empty the car and then sort and haul stuff down to the pantry in the Batt Cave. His reward was what he loves, a panini sandwich with Grandma 's secret sauce. I make his panini with Swiss cheese, ham, turkey and salami. The secret sauce spread on the outside and inside of the bread is simply mayonnaise mixed with Italian salad dressing. They do come out yummy. Tonight dinner will be broccoli cheese soup. I know it's hot, but it does taste good.
I have planned several other meals for this week as well - pork chow mein, and a pork roast to make my Cafe Rio salads. That will cover meals until next week.
Not much else happening here. We are getting quite warm. Heading towards triple digits. It looks like we will start hunting up the plants and the actual work will start in mid July to tear out and then replace. That will be a good timing schedule, as we will be out of the extreme heat timing and the sod will grow better. Daniel will be here as well and can help supervise.
So I am sewing and playing in the Batt Cave.
Hugs,
Jana
