Supper Club -Wed Apr 27

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Apr 27, 2022 5:25 am

Good morning

Today is my brother Jim’s heavenly birthday. He has been gone 5 1/2 years and I still miss him every day. We used to camp with him quite often at this very campground.

Yesterday I hit the Quilt Shop which turned out to be bigger than I had thought from the street. Still, not a lot of Choices for me. It was almost all beach themed fabric, modern ugly fabric, and batiks. I love batiks but I have plenty in my stash at home. But I found a few things to buy because I always like to support quilt shops. Mostly quarter yard cuts for my next project. Then we went to the winery where we Walked their beautiful grounds. Must be 20 acres or more of whimsical gardens. Then we had lunch, tasted a couple wines, 🫤, then came back to camp and had a campfire. No supper as we were both still full from lunch. By the way, I had quiche and a salad.

Today we are taking a drive about 40 miles down the coast. We will check out Washaway Beach to see how much more beach (and houses!) have washed away. Then the town of Raymond where there is another LQS I want to check out. Bill lived in Raymond more than 50 years ago. We’ll get diesel at the Indian casino in Tokeland, and make our way back to camp. It will be a nice drive along the coast. The weather is supposed to be pretty good today. All in all, we have had pretty decent weather for April at the coast

Carol, when you go to Disneyland, do you go by yourself? What do you do? Just walk around and absorb the happiness? Ride the rides? Shop? I am assuming you have an annual pass.

Becca, is that your last treatment? I have to say if I ever need joint surgery I am certainly going to check out this therapy first. Sounds like you had a really busy day yesterday

Jana, way to beat that quilt into submission! Does the Quilt owner know you are putting a different back on it? It will soon be time for us to be washing outside windows and screens. I told Bill about your scrubbing I told Bill about your scrubbing bubbles success

Lori, What color scheme are you using on that quilt? Did you tell us and I forgot? My shirts always get a little hole in them, too, over the snap of my jeans

Velda, what did you end up doing at church sewing? Did you get the room organized?

For supper tonight we have a leftover cooked chicken breast. I will taste it up and mix it with Rice-A-Roni. And we will either have a green salad with it, coleslaw, or fried cabbage and onion. Weather should be good enough to cook outside

What’s on your menu for tonight?

Good morning!

Heading off to get the Solara registered and then Sarah and Crenda are coming to load up that darn quilt! I finished getting it frogged. I was almost done when I quit last night, only took me about 10 minutes today to finish. Sarah and Crenda are coming, probably while we are gone and will load this puppy back on the LA. I will be so glad when it is out of this house! Poor Sarah is up to her ears in work, she has Lila and Ethan has a eye appointment, and then back to school and then she gets Gracie at school at the end of the day. Then add taking all of them to cello lesson for Ethan - so glad that its not me!

Got to run - dinner - is on the fly tonight - we will see if the car knows the way or what!

Hugs, Jana

Hi to everyone. Yesterday we sandwiched several quilts. I didn't hear how many. One person worked on sorting store room. And 4 of us worked on putting quilts together. My husband and I had plans to walk the trails in the city park. They meandor through woods on a paved path. Springtime is always beautiful in nature. Has view of the lake, etc. But... It was cold and windy so we chickened out. Waiting for a warmer day. The days are coming.
Eating out tonight. No cooking. 😉
HUGS, 💕 Vel
