SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 10th
Posted: Sun Apr 10, 2022 7:14 am
Good morning,
We are having a week of pretty chilly weather! Even mixed rain/snow in the lowlands - about 400 ft elev. (we are 160' here). Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) was closed yesterday. I had to drag my winter coat out again!
Yesterday Bill finished cleaning our love seats. We added Oxyclean to the cleaner and it really did the trick. He redid the portion he'd done the day before without Oxyclean. Today he's going to Scotchguard. So while our fabric is a little dated it's nice and clean and it didn't cost us $7,200 for reupholstering!
I got my Wooded Whimsy all together. I have the backing fabric but still need to wash and piece it. A green/red/white Christmas flannel print. After I get that backing together I will start Penguin Party (PP). I spent a few afternoon hours cleaning my 4-drawer Iris cart and moving some things around in my sewing room - notions, tools, rulers, and such. Some things were just trash like booklets for irons that are long gone, etc, and I was able to ditch the cart! Yay! I just hope I remember where everything is!
LORI - You are too hot for April! I would be glad to take twenty degrees off your hands! We were only 48* yesterday. Where did your DH's sister live? North Bend area? Taxes! Ugh! Bill did ours last month.
VELDA - our LQS will be having her semi-annual sale soon, too. That's when I stock up on blenders, etc. YourCeltic Twist quilt is gorgeous! I'm anxious to see what backing you choose for it.
JANA - you've been making good use of your grandkid power! It took me years before it dawned on me that I can clean under the stove simply by removing the drawer under the oven. I don't actually do it much, but I could if I wanted. Costco is always where we buy our romaine, too, and I usually get organic, but our last two visits they've only had spring green mix or specialty bagged salads. So we went to Fred Meyer and they haven't had any romaine either for the last two weeks. Who took all the romaine?? When I did my LOTR quilt - 42 blocks of varying sizes - there was not one single block that I didn't have to do some frogging on at least once - some many times. So happy frogging!
BECCA - I know you truly loved having Marty and Estel visit, but I bet you are looking forward to a quiet week after all the company you've had, and CA's 'spell'.
CAROL - that was a lot of Zoom time yesterday! What a great idea - a curtain rod over your closet for hanging quilts. I'm sure you'll find that extremely handy!
I think our supper tonite will be chicken burgers, french fries, and baked beans.
And what can we get for you?
