Good morning,

I can't believe we are coming up on the halfway mark through March! Time is flying!

In case you didn't catch my late-breaking post yesterday, Becca e-mailed me that she has been sick, but not with Covid. She says 'hi' and hopes to be back at the table next week. And right after I heard from her, my friend who had the breast biopsy on Thursday texted me that she got good news, too - no cancer! It was a good afternoon.

JANA - maybe we should send our electrician to Michael's garage to shop!

CAROL - excellent question - whatever will you do with all your time when you step down from being president? Sewing and traveling sounds like fun, but now the fuel prices are going through the roof. :( You have probably had the most challenging presidential reign anyone in your guild has ever had and you brought everyone through. Congratulations!

LORI - I thought about that exact thing when we had our day of no power - this is like the old old days! I like being challenged and that day did challenge me. At least we had power back by 5pm and I didn't have to sit and darn socks by the light of a kerosene lamp! I'm happy that your guild survived. You were a big part of that!

TINA - So you're going to Cruces today? And has the wind let up this weekend? Can you do prep work on the house until the winds die down?

VELDA - we are still half-heartedly looking for a different toaster oven/air fryer. But in the meantime I'll give the one we bought a few more trys . . .

I think tonite we'll have frozen spring rolls, cooked leftover rice fried with green onions, and a salad for our supper. Maybe I'll do those spring rolls in the air fryer. I see a lot of prepared foods now have air fryer directions on them.

What say you about your supper tonite?

Good morning!

Mary - spring rolls are great in the air fryer ! I do them all the time. I take a small amount of oil in a ziplock bag and then add the spring rolls and shake to give the rolls a light bit of oil first. Then put then in the air fryer. They come out really crispy.

No idea on dinner yet, heck, still no idea on breakfast!

I will head down to my Batt Cave to play in a little while. Today I need to turn Yoohoodi loose, first making sure there's not anything out he could get in trouble with. It's just like having a 2 y/o in the house, they will find something to get into! LOL!

Enjoy the day!
Hugs,
Jana

Good snowy afternoon from SW. Pa.....I could have sworn we were all outside yesterday (all day) in short sleeves and this morning, we have 6 inches of snow.....How does that happen????? I don't know if I'm even going to be able to get to my neighbor's to take care of her fur babies...I do have her next door neighbor I can call if my dog sled can't make it....BUT, next week, it's going to be spring and then a touch of summer, so just gotta get through the next day or so....

Mary, I'm so glad you've heard from Becca...I'm not here every day but I sure do worry about all of you and pray that you're all OK....
Isn't if funny, when you find yourself without, electric etc., it makes you really think..,,All the conveniences we have, we really are blessed......

Jana, Just want you to know, I'm writing down all your hints and when I break down and get my air fryer, boy, look out...I know, if I had one, I'd probably do more cooking but then do I really want to do more???? But, you really do have some great hints.....(For my breakfast this morning, I had a piece of gingerbread).....

Last night I picked up my sister and we went to her son and new girl friend's house for snacks and music...Another couple were there and the 2 fellows had their guitars....It was really nice, had a great time....My nephew has an extra keyboard and told me it's mine so I can't wait to "entertain" the neighbors......

I've been hungry for chili so that's on my menu for dinner.....Might even mix up some bread, good day for it......

You all have a great rest of the day......Please be safe if you're covered with snow like we are...

Happy eating..........................

Good afternoon. All done sewing for today. I did one quilt top 64x84. I started stitching leftover pieces from lap quilts. It grew and grew. A few on this side, a few on the other side and finally added a couple of wider strips on each side and top and bottom. Soon it was the perfect size!
Now just being lazy until supper.
Pork burgers and fried potatoes tonight. Our pizza was great last night. No dishes, no leftovers.
Don't know anything to tell you. Hope you are having a great day.

Good Evening,

Maryz - All day today I have been thinking of all the things I will do when I am not President. Clean the cupboards and drawers, paint, garden visit friends.

I did pick up my HandiQuilter Sweet 16 from the spa. Nothing was broken so they just did a service on it. It was over due I am sure. Now I can get back to quilting!

Tonight's dinner was grilled marinated chicken, salad, peas and potatoes.
