SUPPER CLUB - Friday, March 11th

Good morning!
Brrr... 38* this morning, but dry and supposed to stay dry but cloudy all day. With a high of 53*. Not too bad.
Yesterday was a little weird without power. I did a few hours of cross-stitch, refolded some fabric and tidied some shelves. I used our battery camping lantern in the bathroom which is pitch dark with the door closed. I played out in the trailer for an hour and then ran a couple short errands just to charge my phone in the car. Power came back on about 5pm. But the job isn't finished yet because a few parts they need aren't available. Seems the scavenger hunt isn't limited to just groceries. We have no idea when they'll be back so in the meantime, our downstairs family room, where we spend our evenings, is totally torn up. It looks like we're in the middle a big paint job with sheets over everything.
So, I'm not sure what is going to happen today. If we have power, I plan to make Autumn's garter. If we don't, I won't. Pretty simple.
I haven't heard a response to my e-mail to BECCA . She wasn't feeling well and I'm worried she may have Covid. She had some of the symptoms several days ago. But I'm just speculating. I'm sending her a birthday card today with a note in it. Praying all is OK and she just started the party early.
CAROL - I hope your eye appt went well and you were able to ditch the drops. Funny, my left thumb is my most resistant spot, too. I bet it's because of all the ironing we do when sewing. My L thumb takes all the heat. Your quilt is going to be memorable! You deserve it - you've served your guild so well! I can't imagine anyone else doing such a great job as you have done.
VELDA - I will keep my eye on your air-fryer thread. We haven't used ours much at all because it's just so shallow. Can't hardly get anything in there but a small cookie sheet. We're very disappointed for that reason. Mostly it's just a big ole' toaster sitting on our counter. Glad your hubby got good news yesterday.
JANA - Aaron was called as back-up on a domestic violence call? I was thinking he wasn't working as law enforcement, per se, more like code enforcement. Sometimes your boy even gives ME gray hairs! (though I have a way of dealing with them.
) What's the current project in Progress in the Batt Cave?
We didn't have to call out for pizza last night (darn!) because I was able to cobble together a quick and easy supper for us - cheese tortellini in alfredo sauce with a side salad. I think tonite it will be leftover tortellini, salad, and maybe I'll try some chicken tenders in the air fryer. I should be able to fit them in.
What's happening in your kitchen (or air fryer!) tonite?
