Maryz - The eye appointment went well. The doctor is having me stop the drop that was probably causing my eyes to be red and teary. I am happy!

Thank you for your kind words on my being President. I have been told this before and I always say I did what needed to be done. I think we would have lost our Guild if I hadn't been President. Communication is key to every relationship, and I get thanked for my communications all the time. (BTW I do have a few critics that say I send too many emails.)

Jana - I too was surprised Aaron went on a Domestic Violence call. Is the Herriman PD really small? Thank you for the geography lesson. Have you ever watched the PBS series on Making of Americas? It has so many interesting facts.

This is Lent, so tonight's dinner is macaroni and cheese.

Good morning!

Yes, Aaron helps out on calls. He does have law enforcement powers, all, except pulling over vehicles and arresting criminals. He backs up many times during the day, as well as code violations, lost children, emergency management, and accidents. We are a small, growing town. Our police force was under the Sheriff of the county, but the city got wise to where all our money was going and broke away and created our own department. So the department is small, but growing and gives great service and coverage to all. Before, all the service went up to the crime haven of the Salt Lake Valley. Herriman just created Aaron's department/job after they saw his resume and then hired him.

Dinner - leftover noodles. They came out really well and I got the right ratio of broth to noodles. Sometimes too much broth not enough noodles or vice versa!

I am working on my changeable wall hanging. Still doing the paper piecing. Also I have a monthly wall hanging quilt that needs to be quilt. The top has been done for a loooong time, but the piece I have for the back is just a weee bit tight for size. Probably should punt it and find a bigger back.

Mary - yes, electrical parts are in short supply. No pun! Michael and the kids are always hunting for parts and when he finds them, they go into the stash. Then the kids come and check out Dad's stash. Michael takes out something, that is still good and useful, safe too, and saves it. We keep several house projects going around here. Just like our fabric stashes! Michael tells me to add, that he comes by his saving, naturally. His father grew up in the depression and Michael saw his dad, straighten nails to reuse in building his own homes. So Michael does the same and saves useful items. They are needed now during these shortages.

Carol - you are so busy with being the guild president, what will you do with all the time you find in your day when all that changes?

Tina- I sent our weather south to you, hope some of the rain/snow made it.

Lori - Our meeting is next Tuesday. We also have been meeting since September 2021 in person and on Zoom. I have been conducting a poll since this will be Quilt Show Wrap-up meeting. Our attendance in January and February was down, however the poll is showing quite a few more people 55/86 in person and 26/86 on Zoom on the poll. Not everyone has responded. We have about 150 members. How many members are in your Guild?

Jana - I will finally get to sew and quilt when I am not President. Hopefully my DH and I will also travel a bit.

Hi to all of you. Not much going on today. I did quilt tying this morning. And now as DH takes a little nap, I am going to watch a few quilt shows that I recorded.
The thread I started for air fryer ideas, may not go over, and if there isn't much interest, I will just let it fade away. I find it really handy for many things, but wonder how it will be a couple months down the road after the newness wears off. LOL.
Supper tonight is going to be pizza. Frozen of course and cooked in my new air fry oven.

Just a quick Late in the day note to let y’all know that Becca just emailed me. She said she has been sick though she does not have Covid. She hopes to be feeling well enough to be back next week and thanks everybody for their concern and prayers. It’s so good to know she is OK. Or at least almost OK
