SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Feb 27
Good morning,
We've warmed up a bit but now have rain. Lots of it and lots more on the way this week. But it will make for a green spring! I already have a few daffodils blooming in the yard. Yay for that! St Patrick's day is only 2-1/2 weeks away!
Yesterday we got the garage cleaned. I have so many plant and flower pots I will never use them all. So, next nice day I'm going to take them outside with a big tub of soapy water and scrub them up, choose ones to keep, and get rid of the rest. Things are moved so the electrician, if he ever shows up, will have easy access to the electrical stuff and when that job is done, the pots and pot shelf will go back in place. (we have more in-house moving to do for him but that will wait until we get actual dates for the work to be done.)
Bill also got the next quilt half quilted and I did some playing around with Cathedral Windows. Soon, I'll find the pattern I like best, purrfect it, and start cutting and prepping the little windows. Though really, I should probably finish my hexie project before starting a whole new thing. But today will be mostly laundry and I'll make a binding and label for this next quilt that will likely come off the frame today. Only three more tops to go!
VELDA - glad the air fryer worked for your pizza. Was it homemade, half-homemade, or purchased frozen? We reheated leftover pizza in ours yesterday and that worked out really well. Much better than microwave. I'm loving that spring is just 3 weeks away!!
TINA - do you think you'll get your east side done this week? We were just remarking a few days ago that we rarely see Irish Setters any more, not since they were the rage after the movie Big Red. But in the last 4 days we've seen 2 of them plus a bumper sticker that says "I β€ Irish Setters". Maybe they are making a comeback. I love them and would have one in a heartbeat, but I have one big stumbling block here named Bill. But then I'd also have a husky, lab, golden, german shepherd, collie, and more shelties so maybe Bill's right to keep me reined in. I love all the big dogs.
BECCA - I didn't realize you couldn't do steps yet. From your hip fracture? You've talked about stairs in your house so I'm going to assume your bedroom is on the first floor. Our next house will not be having any steps! If we ever have a next house. I've been here 36 years and we have no plans to move until we can't do stairs or take care of the place ourselves any longer.
CAROL - well, next week, if it's warmer, will be more crowded at Disney so maybe you made the right choice after all by going when you did.
I'm still mulling over supper. I have a ham I could bake with some sweet potatoes. And while they are in the oven I could roast a medly of veggies - broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, & onions. I'm sure if I mentioin that to Bill he'll think he's died and gone to supper heaven!

Mary, Cathedral Windows is a heavy quilt. When I hung the quilts at a quilt show, there was a queen size Cathedral Windows. I guess because of the folded fabric, it adds extra weight. Hope you find a pattern you like.
I finished my class on Friday. She offered a lot of great information. I'm putting aside my Plumeria for now so that I can finish up my log cabin.
Yesterday a few of us went to the guild storage to clean and organize. We go a lot done, and will donate a lot of the fabric to the up coming garage sale at out show.
I'm going to try my hand at mashes/whipped cauliflower. I found a few recipes that look pretty simple.
Maybe some chicken to go with it.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning
. I got up this morning
and made some eggs and biscuits straight away. My plan is to continue working on lotto blocks and Easter blocks while listening to Church service. Supper tonight will be at Texas Roadhouse. It's one of my friends birthday. Some of my other friends and I are having a birthday party

for her, starting with dinner.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Feb 27
Good afternoon from a very sunny but chilly, SW. Pa....BUT I'm certainly not complaining, the sun is shinning and it's wonderful! My sister stopped over this morning on her way home from church and grocery shopping...She knows how I like asparagus so brought me 2 gorgeous packages which 1 is already cooked and half eaten.....Also brought me carrots so I can make veggie soup...But, instead I decided on the potato soup, which is cooking.....
Mary, you really are like that "energizer bunny"....You accomplish more in 1 day that I do in a couple of weeks......Remember my sewing/craft room that I'm cleaning?????Well, right now, I can hardly move around in the room, everything is out of the closet, bins sitting in the middle of the room, both sewing machines are piled high and got tired looking at it, so walked out and shut the door....
I had always said, if I ever got another dog, it would have been an Irish Setter...But, there are so many gorgeous fur babies out there, it would be hard to choose so that's why, no dog...One fat, fur baby, reigning over this household is enough...
Becca, it's funny how we all picture each other and their homes...I too imagined you in a big 2 story house...But, then I also thought you were tall, lol....Our 1st house was nothing but steps...Steps to get to the house, steps up to the porch and then 3 flights of stairs inside..The next only was 2 floors but steps outside and now this one, 5 steps from the sidewalk to my front porch and that's it! It's heaven to have everything on one floor......I must have been sleeping but I missed what you had said about the treatment you are having....But, sure hope and pray it helps.....It really is a good day to read but then any day is a good day to pick up a book.....
Since it's a fairly nice day outside, I might make a visit to the shed and see what I can get into...I keep adding to the pile of things I'm putting in Terry's car, the next time he comes over..Pretty soon, he's going to need a Uhaul.....
And you already know I'm having potato soup and am thinking, maybe I should mix up a batch of cinnamon rolls......
You all have a great rest of the day......Couple more weeks and it will be spring!
Happy eating..........................

Good afternoon!
Just got home from church. My lesson went very well. I always panic, but shouldn't. I always get help as needed!
So I am changed into my normal attire, jeans and a shirt, and my feet up in my recliner.
We will probably be invaded this afternoon by kids. A good thing. And that will probably happen more often after Daniel gets here.
Dinner is just piecing on what's in the refrigerator.
Tomorrow morning, Dish Network will be here to change our receiver. The current one is acting up big time, so we need a new one and with that it will be upgraded. Now my TV in the Batt Cave will have it's own remote. No more sharing, no more remembering to bring it back upstairs. We are losing a ton of programs we have saved. Michael is not a happy camper. We do have an external hard drive, but it's not cooperating at the moment.
See ya later,
Hugs,
Jana

Hi. I know it's late. I was on here this morning before church. Then never had a chance to return. Used my new appliance again today. Did a breakfast/brunch after church. Then used it again for our event meal, too.
I am trying to use it often. It's easy clean up and healthy cooking. Our pizza Friday night was frozen. But turned out great!
I did turkey bacon. ( Perfect!)
Did toasted cheese sandwiches! Very, very easy and delicious!
I did some sewing too, today as well. Fun day!
Hope all of you have a great week ahead!!
