We're 27* this morning but should be going to a sunny 46*! It will start warming up as soon as I get back from my walk and not a moment before, as per usual. lol!
Yesterday Bill finished quilting Starry Night and this morning I'll put on the binding, the label, and a hanging sleeve. Though, when it comes down to it, I only have one place in the house to hang a big quilt and this one, at 75" x 78" just may be a bit too big. Guess we'll see. I'd really like to hang it if we can.
Watching the news yesterday was pretty horrifying. And realizing that it will most likely bring even higher prices and more shortages here we went to Costco and stocked up, filling the freezer and our back-up and garage pantries with paper products, canned goods, and pet food. This afternoon I'll be putting everything away.
BECCA - making hankies from that wedding slip was a brilliant idea! I suppose I could do something like that from my first wedding dress (I do have a selection, you know.) but Aut wore that dress for her first wedding so maybe it wouldn't work here. My other dresses were just dresses, and I suppose I should donate them. But they were so pretty! And so special. I'm glad your knee is doing well. When do you have to go again?
LORI - I LOVE your fabric art! You've really got talent. Love how you got the shading with the leaves. And all the petals and their placement is purrfect. Nice job!! Your teacher will be proud of her star student! thank you for showing us what you're doing.
JANA - well, I'm glad Michael lost his mind, and found those items! My mom had a saying on her kitchen wall, "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most." I hope Aaron's badge shows up soon. That's a big deal. I hope Chewy will be OK.
VELDA - as usual, you've been really busy. Does your DH have a time-filling hobby, too? I was wondering what he does when you're busy sewing. Yesterday in sew-in I posted the title of a book I have for using old doilies, embroidery pieces, hankies, lace, etc. in projects. It's called Hanky Panky Vintage Projects by Diane Brick, or something like that. I can't quite remember the title/author for certain and the book is in my sewing room, and I'm in the living room with a cat and a computer on my lap. Cat can't be disturbed - house rule. But you can check yesterday's sew-in if it's of interest. You know, you don't have to wait for me to start Supper Club. I'm not the queen. (just the princess.
Tonite we're having stir fried veggies over rice. We haven't had stirfry for a long time and looking at my veggies in the fridge, it's time has come.
What's going on your plate tonite?
