SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Feb 19th

Good morning,
Things are chilling down here this week. We may even have lows in the teens! Bill will be prepping the trailer for freezing temps today. along with working on LOTR. In fact, he started quilting at 0600 this morning. He plans to finish it before noon. then it comes back to me for binding and label. and pillow cases.
Yesterday I finally got out and fed my rhodies and other woody plants. That's all the yard work I'll be doing until it warms up again. Brrr.... then I played with the March lotto blocks. Celtic Twist. What fun blocks when they are put together! They look difficult, but really aren't. I have two made and two more half-finished. Will mail them off to Valerie soon. Then it's back to Easter Swap blocks. Sign-ups end tomorrow night. We would love to find one more person so we can have a 3x3 setting. Any takers here??
TINA - oh no!! Not Nine Lives Pate! That's OUR catfood, too! Foxy gets a very small spoonful for breakfast and supper. We buy it at Costco. I better see if we can get it. He does NOT like the shreds! And we certainly don't want an angry cat in the house! I hope you can get some painting done today.
BECCA - no, I doubt you have an enemy in the world! Everyone is honored to be your friend! We, too, have to have tacos at least two nights in a row. In fact, we usually have everything 2 nights in a row! And I make every recipe with half the meat than is called for. Happy heavenly birthday to your brother. I KNEW yesterday was a special day all day long, but didn't know why. Now I do.
IRISH - yes, Drew is excited. He's seen pictures of the completed top but not in person. And he has no idea we plan to bring the finished quilt to him. Can't wait! Then we'll see if Alec comes up with something HE wants! lol! I'm so sorry your sister's DD is being such a stinker. Stinker kids are the worst. But at least her son is happy for her. and her sister! So do you think she'll rent the farmhouse out, sell it, or just let it be? I will check out your eagle cam!
JANA - HAPPY DAY!!! I'm so glad for you!! I know you've got joy, joy, joy down in your heart!! Too bad they don't want to stop off in WA for a month or two - we could use a good house-sitter this summer.
CAROL - WOW! You've really got it goin' on, Girl!! I'm not sure I even understand the titles of all the positions in your guild! Thank you for the invite. Will keep it in mind. I'm not really a joiner and Zoom kind of escapes me. I'm severely technically challenged. I have trouble enough keeping track of my own activities!
LORI - when will your show be held? Glad you have strong help. We've hung quilts before. It's hard work! So happy you are enjoying your class. Would love to see pictures when you have something to show us. Our last trip to Alaska was in 2019. My first was in 1985 - kids and I flew up for first Christmas after their dad was killed. Then kids and I ferried up in 1989 and drove back after my 2nd husband died. (When times got tough, we ran to Gene, the king of conquering tough times.) Bill and I drove up in 1993, 2001, 2006, 2015, and 2019. My sis and I flew up Jan of 2013. I love Alaska!
We're in need of new food tonite so I'm thinking of baked pork chops, mashed potatoes & gravy, and brussels sprouts.
What's happening on your plate tonite?
OOPS! Bill just changed our menu - as he is wont to do sometimes. Looks like we're having mac & cheese with our brussels sprouts. The pork chops went back into the freezer.
