SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 17

Good morning,
39* here but dry. It will be a chilly walk this morning but that might move our feet faster. Though to be honest, our feet go no faster than Duchess, my walking buddy's dog, sniffs. She's a white German shepherd and she sniffs EVERYTHING. Even Scottie just stands patiently and waits for her to gather all her pee-mail. So Scott & I don't walk for the exercise so much as just to get outside and visit with Lori & Duchess. LOL.
One more thing about Bill's past being connected to mine: His former in-laws were next door neighbors to my brother, Albert, and they all lived about 70 miles from here near Mt. Rainier. Albert was like their honorary son-in-law and looked after them, did things for them, for many years. Bill doesn't remember ever actually meeting Al, but he could have . . . Plus, my dad had a tree farm after he retired from logging. Bill bought his Christmas trees from Daddy for several years.
No quilting work on LOTR yesterday. Bill took the hitch out of the truck and went for a load of firewood and to fill propane tanks yesterday. Then I got to help unload and stack wood. So not a lot of sewing for anybody! Maybe today.
TINA - Don't you just love it when they have a big, long, outdoor project to keep them busy and out of your hair? lol! I really love my husband, but sometimes I just like having some time alone. lol! Gives us something to talk about when we're together again.
BECCA - I hope you have a day free of dizzy spells. A very good excuse to lay low and read a good book. Have you talked to your doctor about these dizzy spells? If not, it might be a good idea. Glad you have those grab bars. I've often wished we had some - when I've had surgery in the past and also when we've had injured friends and family use our walk in shower occasionally over the years. But we have nothing to anchor them to in either of our bathrooms.
CAROL - How many folks are in your guild? Are people nominated for office and then elections held, or do people volunteer? What if no one comes forward? See? I'm a pre-worrier. Most of what I worry about never happens so I know worrying works.
I think tonite I'll make a one pot meal - sweet potato, apple, onion, keilbasa slices all saute'd together. It's better cooked outside in Bill's big cast iron skillet, but we'll make do. Salad or veggies on the side.
What's on your menu tonite?
