SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Feb 15th
Good happy morning!
We had a really nice day yesterday. Thank you all for the sweet anniversary wishes. Bill went to friends for a few hours to work some more on helping set up/connect their new TV. What a hassle everything is today! I cleaned and did a bit of rearranging in my sewing room, answered the doorbell to a beautiful bouquet of flowers, had a nice supper at an Italian restaurant, lost a fun game of Mexican Train to our friends, and then received a wonderful text from Autumn, showing me her beautiful new diamond ring! She got us a new son-in-law for our anniversary! (or he will be a DSIL soon!) She looked very happy in the photo. Best anniversary EVER!
BECCA - I hope your BP is behaving today and you have no errands to run. It's good that you keep a close eye on your numbers!
LORI - you cut out an entire LC quilt in that short a time??! Wow! Impressive! How is knitting coming along?
Looks like most of us were off celebrating yesterday!
Today, I will finish cleaning up some things in the quilting room and hopefully get the quilting queue organized. If nothing else is going on, I will start putting together the last 12 QIAD comfort quilt tops. We got a LOT of blocks donated last year. Maybe I can talk Bill into loading LOTR onto the quilt frame if he's not too busy.
My apple pie turned out to be really tasty. I almost forgot to make it! I got involved in deep cleaning my sewing room. I really scrambled to get it made and into the oven in time to get to my chiropractor appt on our way to dinner! It really needed another 10 minutes to bake so I turned off the oven and left the pie in there and it finished baking to purrfection. Best pie I've made in years if I do say so myself.
Tonite's supper will be chicken enchiladas. Haven't decided yet if I'll use red or green enchilada sauce. I'll also toss a salad. I love rice and beans on the side, but our appetites just aren't big enough for that any more so just the salad tonite.
What's for supper at your house?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Feb 15th
Good late morning from a very sunny, but cold, SW. Pa.....And a very, very happy belated anniversary to Mary and Bill....WOW, what an anniversary, flowers, Mexican train, dinner out, apple pie AND a special engagement...Don't get much better than that......As Becca said, if our kids are happy, that makes our world perfect.......
And that got me thinking this morning and right now, my world is darn near perfect...Today would have been Jim's birthday and just being able to hold his hand, one more time, would make me so happy.....Someone had told me, to get a phone call where there is no one, is a sign and this morning, I had that phone call....Most of the time, I don't answer a number I don't know, but, something made me answer that call......Happy Heavenly Birthday, Jim.......
Becca, hoping today, that BP behaves it's self...I used to take mine every day but it made me so mad, I quit...My Mom's BP ran extra high and if it came down, she was sick and I think I'm just like her....
Maybe today is your day to just relax, take it easy for a change.......
Yesterday, I had a call from a friend, who had the day off, wanting to go to brunch..Hey, don't have to ask twice...We went to a new place that is only open for breakfast and lunch and had a wonderful time, got caught up on lots of old stuff...Then I came home and did absolutely nothing, even took a nap....BabyGirl was so mixed up with me sleeping in the middle of the day, she joined right in.....Then last night, I got on line and checked my credit card and found someone was buying gas and lots of ice cream in Minnesota (on my card)...Well, new card is now on it's way, what a hassle but how lucky I checked.....
Today, not going to get much sewing done...A nephew asked me to ride to the airport with him to pick up his SO...We tease him about being a country boy and for him to drive to the Pittsburgh airport would really be out of his comfort zone.....So, there goes my day........I should tell him, I don't go to the airport unless there is a beach and/or warm weather involved......
And, I'm not planning anything for dinner, hopefully, his truck is related to Ruby and will find a good place to eat......
You all have a great rest of the day....
Happy eating.............
Eagle Update.....We now have the 2nd egg in our Hays nest (near Pittsburgh)...The birds here are really tough, being able to withstand our weather...I remember a couple years ago, our Momma was sitting on the nest and completely covered with snow but they will do anything to keep those eggs warm....Of course we also had 1 year, they dug the egg bowl too deep and in turn kept the eggs too warm and steam actually rose when the adult left the nest...(eggs didn't survive)........

Good morning!
Sorry I missed yesterday, it was a kinda busy day. I had to balance the checkbook and pay bills, then I had to go deliver all 3 kids Valentine's stuff from their mom, we ran back home and ate and before we knew it it was time for me to go pick up all the kids. Kids aren't allowed on buses with balloons.
The solar people came yesterday and were here till noon, the inspector just left so next step is the cement for the posts on the carport and then the solar panels and then they have to dig the ditch for all the electric lines. Last step will be for PNM to inspect again and replace the meter box and hook us up. I'm hoping it all gets done by the end of the month.
Mary, so happy your anniversary was so special, and what a nice gift...a future DSIL!
Becca, watch you BP and go slow today. Glad you found something CA will enjoy eating.
Irish, wow you're a world traveler now! Awwwww that's sad about the steam and eggs. I hope this year is a good one for the eagles
Frankie just gathered trash up and is taking it to the transfer station. No painting today or tomorrow because of high winds and blowing dirt. The west side is about a third done.
I'll be doing some sewing.
Jazmyne comes today to stay the night. We're having tostadas and some finger foods.
Tina

Good morning!
Late here as we had to take my termite to school and pop over to Costco. In and out of Costco in 17 minutes! A record! Now my handyman is installing the second new toilet. They are so much better than what was here!
Dinner - I need to get the leftover meats arranged into meals and freeze. There was lots left for us. So I will need to get creative!
Mary - what a wonderful day for you and for Autumn too! It's good for our kids to be happy.
Tina - sounds as if things are progressing, albeit slowly.
Irish - your's keep you busy too! We have learned the backroads to the airport here and there is the train too! I hate the big freeways!
Becca - take it easy with the BP. My mom's was always low and that was a problem too.
Time to turn Yoohoodi loose, the floors need it. I need to get my checkbook posted, the brat, Michael is bugging me. He's on my list today!
Hugs,
Jana

Maryz - A sincere Happy 30th Anniversary! A very special day for you getting flowers and that sweet and special message from Autumn! Please pass on my very best wishes to her.
Jana - A Happy Birthday to you as well! (I know I am late, but this is still Birthday plus two days equals another Birthday.)
Becca - Glad you keep an eye on your BP. Glad to hear you have found something your DH will eat too.
Tina - I know you enjoy your nights with Jaz so enjoy tonight.
We didn't get any rain that was predicted, but maybe it fell inland. It is windy here today.
I have been preparing for the Guild meeting tonight. I still need to write some notes for my opening remarks. The Quilt Show Chairs feel the Quilt Show was a success. Everyone was so happy to be there! It is nice to be at a show. Super Bowl definitely drew away some of our viewers on Sunday, but it was a beautiful show!
Tonight's dinner - I will tell you tomorrow. I think mine will be a sandwich. DH said not to worry about him.
