SUPPER CLUB - Wednesday, Feb 9th

Good morning,
It was another toss'n'turn kind of night. And the dog didn't help any. Barking! So I was up at 0400. I could smell something outside as if someone had been burning toxic items. Gee - I wonder who that could be! And when I took Scott out on the leash he went berzerk when close to Vicki's property, barking, lunging, snarling. It could be coyote(s) had made a call there or it could be the black cat (not ours) that we caught on the camera. Such an exciting life we lead.
Yesterday was a couple of local errands, one load of wash, and a bit of fabric play. I'm working on my wall hanging. It's almost like painting a picture. I "paint" a while and then take a break. I did find what I needed at Michael's - fabric glue and tulle - so I can go forward now with this project. Bill has my new kitchen outlet in and today he is going to spackle and paint around the new outlet and then, hopefully, I can put the kitchen back together. Depending on how fast that happens will determine what we have for supper.
VELDA- that's great that you two work at your food bank. I'm sure they have to be well organized for such an organization. I worked for 12 years on our local toy drive which was associated with our food bank & fire department. It's rewarding work. Tell us more about your shoeboxes for college students.
LORI - a dishcloth is a great project to practice on. Plus, they are great dishcloths! I have several that friends made me. Glad your elephants are nearing the finish line. What are you using for background?
BECCA - I agree about how WM treats employees. We had a friend who used to work for them and she said they were awful. But what I REALLY don't like is how they move into a community, drop their prices so low, and run the long-time local shops out of business. They tried to build a store here but our community rallied and kept them out. My brother, Jim, got to where he couldn't be left alone because his Parkinsons' meds caused hallucinations and whenever my SIL left him, he would wander, trying to tend to the things he was 'seeing' and fall and would be on the floor when she got home. He had several serious injuries from his falls.
TINA - yay for painting! Yay for Easter eggs! Seems like everyone is really getting on board with their Easter Swap blocks! What is "NG"? In the medical world that has a meaning, but I don't think that's what you were talking about.
CAROL - I was looking at your Road quilt again this morning, studying each block more carefully. It sure is amazing!! I have the book and you inspire me to perhaps USE it! lol! I didn't realize you knit, too. I want to knit and my good friend tried to teach me a few years ago. We both finally gave up! lol! But I CAN crochet - sort of.
JANA - they STILL haven't picked up their O2 stuff?? I thought there was supposed to be a shortage and they needed it pronto. Business is done weirdly nowadays. Have you been able to get to your sewing machine yet?
Supper? With my kitchen all discombobilated it's hard to cook. Hopefully today will be the end of it and I can put everything back. I want to make a crockpot of soup but I don't know yet if I'll have room to operate in there. So at this time, supper will be a surprise! Surprises can be fun, right? . . . . .
