SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Feb 7

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Feb 07, 2022 6:12 am

Good morning,

It seems like Feb 7th is a date I'm supposed to remember, but I can't recall why. . . I imagine I will find out tomorrow!

I spent the entire day yesterday in my sewing room. I cleaned, rearranged a few things, moved Foxy's basket across the room to a new location (we'll see how THAT goes . . .) and then worked on my duckys for the Easter swap. Today's sewing project will be to finish up my Starry Night Nativity top and piece the backing for it. But first I walk and then I'll be off to the chiropractor, the post office, the UPS store, and Riteaid to buy a few cards. All that will take most of my morning.

TINA - so, did the painting start? How long do you think it will take you? I will be mailing my hearts to Valerie today. I loved your lacy hearts!

BECCA - I hope you can figure out a system to help CA with his meds. MY SIL always handed Jim his meds when they were due and watched him take them. But if she had to be gone at med time she would put them in a little container in his pocket and tell him when he was to take them. Of course, he always forgot. Sometimes I think he forgot them accidentally on purpose. His way of rebelling at the illness (Parkinsons) running his life.

LORI - You said you're looking for a pattern to take to class (a different class or still Sassman?). But if you're taking a class, isn't it for a specific pattern? Or can you take anything you want?

CAROL - Any idea how many quilts will be on display at the show? My Bill never loses his glasses - he only has one functioning eye and can't see much without his lenses so he rarely takes them off.

JANA - your bread making is enticing me. Maybe I should make some, too. It smells so good! Then I remembered that I forgot to buy baking supplies so now I probably need to add another stop to my list of errands. Thank you for that.

I'm stumped about tonite's supper. Maybe we have enough taco makings left over. If not maybe I'll make some chili. Or maybe some chili rellenos . . . Or spaghetti. I hope I figure it out by tonite!

Got any good ideas to share?

Good morning all!
Mary, no painting yet.... it was too cold and the breeze was more on the windy side or maybe it was because the breeze felt icy LOL we're playing it by ear. No painting today I don't think because 20mph winds expected. But I think it's either tomorrow or Wednesday that we're to get really nice weather and it'll get better as the week progresses. 🤞
We're just going to be having leftovers tonight, kinda clean out the fridge.
The boys are coming today. We don't know if Holly is testing negative and the school doesn't care, their policy is 5 days off if you've been vaccinated. That's how the kids are getting it so much in my opinion, the teachers are going back to school while still positive 🤦‍♀️

Mary, I said we were looking at plants and flowers. We are learning to draw in an abract way to create the pattern. It's very involved. I have homework that I need to do. Can you come clean my sewing room for me? It's in desperate need of organization.

Jana, I was thinking about making bread too. I think I had a dream about it and woke up wanting to make bread.

Tina, we need to paint he front room, but I'm waiting until spring when I can have the window open. I sense of smell is very sensitive with the doors and window closed. Besides, Jonathan said he would help when he came back in the spring.

I've got some cleaning and laundry to do today. This afternoon heading over to a friends to see her new mid arm quilting set up. She bought it at Road2CA.

I'll be having dinner out with friends.

Have a lovely evening.

Good morning!

In a few minutes my little helper, Lila will be here. I have her favorite paper doll toy out and ready for her. She and Gracie love these. They are magnetic and Disney Princesses. Because of small pieces, I keep them up and out of reach and just one down at a time.

Sarah needs a ride to the eye Dr to get her glasses. They are fancy new fangled glasses with prisms to help with the vertigo and headaches. Hope they work.

Dinner - a salad and a something to go with. Maybe a sandwich we share.

Yoohoodi is recharging - it takes a recharge to do the whole main floor. And my laundry is just about done, needing to be changed from one machine to the other. Kitchen is almost done too. That makes everything for the week and I can play!

Well, I hear my Lila, with the "Grandma" greeting!

Hugs,
Jana
