Good morning,

We are about 42* this morning, going to a high of 47* today. Cloudy but no rain. I'll take it!

Yesterday was mostly about groceries - shopping, paying, schlepping, putting away, packaging/freezing. I was beat! But I did get about an hour of sewing in. Today I plan to make my fifth - and last - lotto heart, clean up the Valentine mess, and then get the last piece into my Starry Night Nativity top. Not sure what I will back it with yet, but I guess there's no rush.

TINA - I have to say, my soups always fill my big crock pot - and we have no one to share it with! I often end up freezing it in 2-serving portions. Your baby quilt will be awesome! When do you get to go fabric shopping? Are you using solids or prints? Are you going to start on it soon or will you wait to see if it's a boy or girl?

BECCA - your pans sound very similar to the ones my DB and his wife had. They were married in 1957 and she is still using them. I never heard of macarons, the sandwich cookie, until a few years ago. I thought everyone was misspelling macaroons! I've learned a lot from the Great British Backing Show.

LORI - I've never heard of Jane Sassman so I had to look her up. It's too early for my eyes to focus on small pictures but from what I can see, her work looks to be sort of folk artsy. Am I right? I like it. What is your workshop about? I like pink and grey together and I also like baked potatoes and chili together!

CAROL - did you get your last border done?

JANA - you missed supper! You must have been busy.

I think tonite we'll have baked chicken, potatoes, brussels sprouts, and a salad. I think I"ll put everything into the oven to bake (well, not the salad. ) I might even use the Ninja Foodie and make a sheet pan dinner. I'm not too happy with that appliance because it's so shallow. I'd rather have more room in it, but maybe if I used it more, I'd adjust.

What's temping your appetite tonite?

Good Morning,

Maryz - Yes, the last border is on and I got the binding on and ready to hand sew on the back. I will be on Zoom this afternoon so will begin sewing. I also put the label in the corner so it is ready to sew down, the hanging sleeve is made and ready to sew on. The Quilt Show is next Saturday and Sunday and we need to turn in quilts on Friday afternoon. I will be ready!!

Becca - I too have a nice set of stainless steel cookware pans. It sure is nice to have a good set. What kind of cookies did Denise make Macarons or Macaroons?

This morning will be a Target run, ironing (DH's shirts mostly), and a walk. I have the laundry under control and the house got fairly clean yesterday. I think I need to sweep the living room. Dinner tonight will be Autumn soup. DH and I talked about it last night and that was what we decided upon, let's see if he changes his mind. He had two bowls of it for dinner last night and I ate the leftover Teriyaki Chicken and rice.

Carol

Lunch break. Thought I better check on the forum and see what everyone is doing today. We had toasted ham and cheese and chips for lunch. Guess I will make potato soup tonight.
This cold weather makes me have a taste for soup.
I love sewing on a cold, but sunny day. I love how bright the house is today. Finishing up the lap quilt top I had all it out and ready to go this morning.
Hope you all have a great Saturday.

Good afternoon!

My head hurts! Finished Aaron's taxes. They are submitted and accepted. They're not hard, just time consuming, reading each item that the software wants. I can do mine at my leisure. I have been doing everybody's taxes in the family since I was 18! A loooong time! We always owe, so I wait until the deadline to file.

We did find something to munch last night. Tonight will be chicken, cooked by Popeyes. My kitchen is clean and to quote my brother, I'm not in the mood, fill in the blank, clean the kitchen, is a favorite.

I did see my sewing machine, Ruby, but did start any projects, yet.

Time to do my part of the bulletin, folding them,
Hugs,
Jana
