Supper Club -Sun, Jan 30
Good morning,
When traveling like this it’s easy to lose track of the days until I put in the date here. I realized this morning that today would be my 51st wedding anniversary. Michael has been gone since 1985 but I still miss him every single day. But I do have Bill for nearly 30 yrs now so I’ve been extra blessed.
We had a good run yesterday 372 miles. Today will be a little shorter – 327 miles. We will be at another Casino tonight in southern Oregon - Seven Feathers. They also have a large free overnight lot for RV’s. Tomorrow we will take it on home!
Irish – fly safe and have a good time. I hope you get to see your friend, Gin. Your family is always on the go!
Lori- I didn’t realize you were planning an elephant quilt. It will be a fun project.
Tina, nice to have an early spring-like day to spend outside. It will be so nice when your heating cooling system is all finished
Carol, oh my sorry about the bruising. It will probably be all gone by your next quilt show. When I make bread putting it also use my BC recipe. In ordinary times we often eat in the casino restaurants As a way to pay back our free night parking. But not so much during pandemics.
Becca, we really like bread pudding but there are so many different recipes that the taste can always be different. And different breads make different flavors. Bill likes it best made with cinnamon raisin bread. I don’t make it often because we like it too much. My mom’s was outstanding.
Jana, I have no problem with raisins but I just prefer not to eat them. But we do use Craisins In recipes and in oatmeal, in place of raisins. Much better flavor we think. You have a lot of appliances! I have an all-in-one blender/small food processor I rarely use, Coffee maker, toaster oven, and rice cooker. That’s all. Oh- And crockpots. Between the trailer and the house I have five, all different sizes. I use those a lot.
Velda, have fun with your new project! A great way to use up small pieces of fabric, keep them small enough to wrestle through your regular machine, and light up someone’s eyes. Nice to have lunch out. It’s been a long time since we’ve eaten in a restaurant.
I have A store-bought frozen chicken poblano lasagna I think we will have tonight. I’m not sure what it is but I bought it in Texas just before we left to have for a “trail supper“. This being our last supper on the trail, I guess I better get it out. How bad can it be?
What Will be warming your tummy tonight?

Safe travels Maryz! Sounds like one more night and then you will be home!
Last night we had Stuffed Pepper Casserole so tonight will finally be chicken. I think I had better cut it up early. I have not been feeling 100 percent and haven't felt like cooking a lot, but feel better this morning.

Good morning all!
Irish, have a safe and fun trip!
Lori, I have an elephant quilt I want to make too ❤ I love elephants! I saw a giraffe pattern on pinterest I'm going to try to look at and make for Holly, she loves giraffes! I have a charm pack that should work perfect for it. Now I need to write it down on my March sheet so I don't forget. February is already full.
Becca, I believe I used Paula Dean's bread pudding recipe, it's decadent!
Carol, what kind of peppers do you use for your stuffed pepper casserole?
Mary, hmmmmmm let me know how your supper is. Can you believe that neither of us have ever had poblanos peppers?! I asked Frankie yesterday because I was looking at a recipe that called for them. They look huge compared to our green chilies but I hear they have no heat, is that true?
Safe travels! Gosh you're so close to home.
Well today is game day here, it's also Clint Eastwood day all day on one of our free antenna channels, we don't have any cable or TV company. We do have Netflix and prime for movies. I didn't get the laundry finished yesterday because I was outside so much but that's ok. I'll just be putsing around doing inside stuff today. We're overcast but we're supposed to hit 58° no wind either.
We're having leftovers today, the last of the beans for lunch and the last of the chicken alfredo for supper. My kind of day, no real cooking!

Tina - I use Green Bell Peppers in my Stuffed Pepper Casserole (BC recipe).
Poblano Peppers do have some heat. They rate in the 1000 to 2000 range on the Scoville Heat index. They are milder than Anaheim Peppers. (I googled Poblano Peppers.)

Thank you Carol. Frankie likes heat but he says if not hot than at least good flavor. I'm kinda weird, I can eat red hot that even he'll say is hot but I can't eat any green hot

Good morning!
I don't have to play chorister today! Sitting here waiting for our meetings to begin.
Dinner- our late brunch of eggs and hash browns. Aaron was over and got some of my stash of hash browns and told us Gracie loves "cheesy" potatoes. There is no cheese, Aaron fries up the hash browns and fries a egg, until the whites are cooked and the yolk just sets. That is what Gracie calls the yolk, cheese. If we ever tell her that's a runny egg, she would never eat it again! But right now she loves it!
Mary - oh, home is in sight! Get out your Ruby slippers - there's no place like home!
Tina - I have used poblanos, and Anaheim chiles. Mostly when I make stuffed chile rellanos. I at one time liked heat, not so much anymore. Tortillas are really easy. Google and find a simple recipe - masa harina for tortillas and water. There are two types of masa, watch. Follow their directions and cook on a griddle. Not hard at all. Trick is to use a zip lock gallon bag that you open on the sides, place the all of dough in the middle, between the plastic and then squish.
Carol - hope you are getting better. Rest is good!
Irish - enjoy all your fun!
Becca - church for us too. It's so nice to see everyone at church here again.
Well, meeting is starting,
Hugs,
Jana

Becca - No I had surgery on Thursday for skin cancer. I look better today, not as much swelling and it looks like maybe I won't get a black eye after all. It looked really bad yesterday afternoon.
