Good morning

I THINK it’s Sat but I reserve the right to be wrong. Hard to keep track on the road. At least that’s the excuse I’m using.

Good drive yesterday - 250 miles. Beautiful campgrd. Today will be 200 miles to Yuma. We will actually go thru Yuma a few miles into CA to a BLM desert area where we Can camp for free in the desert. Right on the Mexican border. We haven’t been there for several years but last time we were, the “wall“ was a four-string barbed wire fence.

Bill Seems to be over his Covid. We will try to find a rapid test in a pharmacy for him to take before going into Mexico. But he has talked to his dentist and she said, wash hands and mask up. He is past The infectious stage.

Jana, how is Sandi? Glad Joseph is Doing well.

Tina, will be so nice to have ac this summer!! Also a good dog washing tub. We use our laundry tub at home but Scotty is almost too big for it

Lori, that is going to be a great quilt. Is that a picture of your quilt or the model quilt? Do you have Sashing between your sections? What is your border plan?

Irish-is the snow gone from your porch? Sounds like it’s pretty slippery out. I love the deer story. Sorry to hear your friend is in the hospital but hopefully the right meds can help straighten out her CHF. So you are off for another trip next week? My sister is in the little town of Sebastian near Vero Beach Atlantic side. Please wave to her for me!

Becca, Good news that CA’s hip is better. sometimes we just get a hitch in our get-along. Lets pray that storm missed you or at the most, just gave you a slight brush

Our lasagna last night was so-so. It actually was just more what I would call “Italian baked dish”. I didn’t really have all ingredients for lasagna but I used up the last dibs & dabs of various pastas, sauce, and some different cheeses . And there’s plenty for tonight too! 😛 So that is what we will be having with a side salad.

What’s happening at suppertime at your house tonight?

Hi, Maryz.
I didn't get much done yesterday. I feel like my days just fly by and I loose track sometimes, too.
My eyes are doing great. I am doing much better with readers after I went back to the drug store and picked a stronger magnification. I just hate the on and off, over and over.
We ordered a daily special at our local burger place. (Four cheese-burgers and a pound of fries for $9.99). It makes two meals for us.
I will heat the french fries in the oven tonight and heat the burger in microwave.
Fast meal and I can just keep sewing longer. No cooking.
I need to start working on the binding for the fund raising quilt. The LA gal is finished. Now it's my turn to bind and label.
I am undecided what info to include on label.
?? Missionary's name - fundraiser - date - pattern name - and should I list all names of those who contributed to construction??
Well my coffee is getting cold.
Enjoy your day.

Mary, that is my quilt. The grey fabric is the sashing. I'm going to put a small border of grey around the outside as well.

Thanks Becca. I like scrappy too. I only used scraps for this one. You'd think I would have run out, but alas I have enough for 2-3 more quilts. Deciding whether I should keep scraps or get rid of them.

Mary, make sure you get gas before coming across to California. Our gas prices are ridiculous. Hope your drive is uneventful and easy today.

Vel, I love fast easy dinners. That's why we have cereal a lot. lol

I made a cute little paper pieced heart yesterday. I might put the borders on the scrappy one today. We shall see. My next quilt will be Elephants from Kaffe fabrics in won at retreat last year. Looking forward to getting this one started. It's my dads birthday today, so I have a cake in the oven. He requested Chinese food for dinner, so I'll pick that up later.

We might do Chinese food as well.

Have a lovely day.

Good morning!

I have my 'two year old' working hard today - Yoohoodi, he's vacuuming. Otherwise all uglies are done. So I am heading down to play. I need to make a couple of visual aids for my lesson tomorrow. Then figure out the width of strips for the CR border. I keep changing my mind 9n how I want them. Oh, decisions, decisions!

Michael is doing great. He's off the extra O2 completely. It's been almost a week now. This morning he tried on his suits. 9h my, a good laugh at the now clown fit of his suits! Waaaay too big for him. So we willneed to go get some new ones. Michael is having a small bit of PTSD and not wanting to get Covid again. I don't blame him. So I am slowly helping him get out and be around a few people. It's tough. We will get there!

Dinner - a steak sandwich. Grilled with onions on a toasted roll. Costco had some extremely thin slices steak to make these with.

Michael is finishing up the bulletin for tomorrow, so needs my help in proofreading for mistakes.

Hugs, stay safe, warm and do fun things!
Jana
