Hello all!
Thought I'd do a quick run through and set the table.
I've been working on a comfort quilt except when we did a grocery pick up run, Dad forgot a few things.
I'm taking a break right now eating an apple and thought I'd see what you all were up to but see the table wasn't set. I text Mary and she said they aren't going to be having supper, she was outside, not with computer. As it turns out they're not going to have supper anyway because they ate a late lunch and Mr. sick has no appetite.
So just wanted to pass that along. They did go get tested today.
I have my meat in a bag with all the stuff to make fajitas for supper and I'll make some guacamole too. We'll be taking Dad's to his porch rail then coming back home to eat ours.
What are you all having? Anything gracing your porch rail?
Tina

Good late afternoon!
I just did a huge online grocery order to pick up a bit later today. I did add stuff for Sarah, as she is hiding out. The infinite wisdom of those who supposedly know, will not allow the Dr to give Sarah her vaccine shot in the pediatric level - red tape says no, she can't have it that way. Her immune system can't handle full doses of any vaccine. So we are stuck without a way out - no canoe, no paddle! So it's my turn to help her out, hunting and gathering food!
Michal's Dr appointment is tomorrow morning. Hopefully he will be cleared for a booster shot. He is doing very well, considering all he went through.
My Sandee, who is in a similar boat to Sarah - Sandee is allegeric to just about everything - was exposed by a co-worker. Sandee wears her mask religiously and this co-worker, sat down right next to Sandee, no mask on and then the next morning was confirmed with Covid! Uggh - so we are now sitting out time for Sandee, praying that she doesn't get it. The governor just over rode state law and schools will be on remote learning next week and possibly the following week as well. I will stay off my soap box, but .......
Dinner is banned food from the PNW pond. Found a nice piece to cook when I was getting the grocery order ready.
I am at least in the Batt Cave today. Haven't got anything sewn, but there is still time!
most of the snow in my yard is gone, just a patch or two on the north side of the house. We are still cold, but really not to terrible for this time of year.
Take care - stay safe - I am going back to my practice of wiping all - everything that comes in the house down with disinfectant - need to be more careful!
Hugs,
Jana

We ordered a pizza for pick up. What a disappointment! Usually our Casey's pizza is terrific. Not this time! Pepperoni was too spicy and the person fixing it let a huge bubble puff up in the center - toppings were pushed over with the bubble.
But I didn't have to cook, so that part was great.
I finished my mission quilt top. Will let my sewing machine rest now until Monday.
It's very scrappy! But it is colorful. LOL
I am having my second cataract surgery tomorrow, so I cleaned up my sewing area and gathered up fabrics for the next one.
Have a nice evening!

Hi, everyone.
Guess I'm late to the table today. My morning was interrupted by Mr. Dog and Mr. Sick. And I guess I never got back here and didn't realize it until Tina texted me about 4:30. Sigh. And so it goes here. Bill and I both were Covid tested this afternoon. He seems to be doing better but driving 20 mil to the test site and back wiped him out. He put himself down for another nap as soon as we got 'home'. Now we wait for results which we expect to come in tomorrow but could be Saturday. This was our 3rd test since being in TX. We've been going through a company called "Curative". EAch time they've been so organized and their people are knowledgeable, friendly, quick. Tests are easy and results usually come back within 30 hours by e-mail or text. They are a CA company but testing nationwide I understand.
TINA - thanks for setting the table just in time! it's true, no real supper here. We ate hoagies in mid afternoon so no hungries here but we will probably have some cheese and crackers. Fajitas sounds good to me! Remind me to make those when we get home!
JANA - Oh, poor Sandee! Poor Sarah! So many idiots in the world! But mom/auntie to the rescue! Prayers neither of them get exposed.
VELDA - great quilt! What a great use for all those fabrics. Sorry about the pizza. I guess it all depends on who is on cooking detail when your pizza is made. (Now I want pizza!) Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Will be thinking of you and waiting to see you post.
Nice weather today here, especially after 3 chilly, windy days. We sat outside this evening and enjoyed it. I sewed the three wisemen on my quilt. All that's left is the camel. I don't have quite enough background fabric for him, but tomorrow I'll do what I can with what I've got and then pack away this project. The camel is the only block left, but it's the biggest! Not sure if I'll get out crazy quilt or just pack it all up. We have 4 more days here until we leave.
happy supper!
