Well, we made it to south Texas. A good trip down. We're in a HUGE RV Resort. Most folks who winter here have golf carts to get around. We're walkers so hopefully staying here will take care of our daily steps. Tons of palm trees. We had to back our trailer into our site between two big palms. He did it on the first try! And no one but me to see it! Rats! We did find our friends, Linda & David, who live here in a mobile home. She is sick (bronchitis) so was sleeping but we visited David for a while before walking back to our place. Not sure what today holds for us. We plan to explore the park for starters. We haven't even found the trash dumpsters yet though Bill and Scottie did locate the laundry. We'll be needing that once or twice while here.
TINA - are you done yet?? I'm sure Frankie appreciates you keeping him busy and out of the cold! lol! I use Murphy's Wood Oil Soap, too. You all, especially Jana, are reminding me that my kitchen cabinets are also overdue for a good cleaning.
BECCA - I think if you had your Tina and our Tina together, you better stand back because you'll get swept up in the White Tornado!
CAROL - our kids gave us some KN95 masks and we wear them religiously when we go into grocery stores (and fabric stores). We haven't been anywhere else since Omicron emerged. We've let our friends know we don't hug, eat at indoor restaurants, or do group activities inside. I hope they don't take it personally, and perhaps we're being a little too vigilant, but getting sick while traveling, with pets, could be catastrophic.
MARY ROSE - chicken soup is a good choice to take to your co-workers house. I assume you are cooking for just one person as her husband is in the hospital? I pray he makes it. I've tried to keep friends supplied with frozen meals in the past. It's hard to come up with dishes that are compatible with ill appetites.
JANA - glad you are friends with Matt's in-laws. I wish that were so in my family. All of my kids' in-laws are Losers with a capital "L". One is in prison (just got out, actually) for molesting their granddaughters. Another lives in a commune in Utah, showed up when his parents had to go to nursing home, cleaned out the bank account and the house out of any valuables, and left the mess for local family to clean up. Another is a drug addled child of the 60's who had 11 children, all by different fathers and never married any of them. The list goes on. Needless to say we aren't friends with ANY of them! I hope you like beige carpets. When we put in our new carpets in 2014, they had about 500 colors to choose from and 498 of them were shades of beige. Maybe trends have changed since then.
LORI - those are some tiny stars! I've been making 4-1/2" stars and thought they were small. The directions for my project say to take 3-1/2" background square, sew 1-7/8" colored squares to all four corners, cut them in half and voila`! Two FG. I've never made FG this way but it works. I used El's FG ruler to square them up. But that project is packed away for now to finish at home. Are you using a specific type fabric or just scrappy? Mine are WOW background with 30's fabric.
Our supper tonite is going to be taco leftovers. Not a lot of meat mixture left over so I'll add a can of refried beans to it, which will probably bring it up to an amount which will leave us with yet more leftovers. lol!
What's your plan?

Good morning!
Mary, glad you made it safe and sound. If there's palm trees there it must not get very cold? Yay for Bill backing up with no troubles! You must be a good director, or didn't you help?
I'm not done cleaning yet, we seem to be getting slower LOL. I spent way more time in our bedroom cleaning than I planned. I ended up going through Mom's sewing machine cabinet and emptying out those 2 drawers. She had soooooo much not usable trash in there it filled 1½ Walmart bags as packed as I could get them and then I threw another 2 totally full Walmart bags filled with stuff I haven't used in years away..... nail polish, lip sticks, old old lotions etc... our room looks nice! I have a stack of papers I need to sort through today and either file or throw away what's trash.
Jazmyne, Easton and Preston are coming today and tomorrow so cleaning may not get finished until Thursday, I have to take Jazmyne to the dentist Wednesday morning so Wednesday will be shot too. But you never know we may talk them into helping us finish today and tomorrow

We really like Maria's family even though translations have to be done to talk to her parents but Maria and her sister and 1 brother are really good about doing that for us. She has 2 other brothers that we have only seen once or twice so not sure how they are. She tells me the 1 brother that we like really isn't nice LOL but he's nice to us and he moved my parents single wide trailer from Hatch to here for free.... they did pay him his diesel and a couple hundred as a thank you ❤. Adam's family don't have anything to do with each other and his mom I don't care for, she's pretty much just as selfish as Adam and thinks he's "improved" so much!

I asked to talk to her a couple months ago and she totally blew me off. Adam told me to talk to her about him LOL so yep I sent her a message and he even told me she got it and doesn't want to talk to us.

oh well.
Think I'll go ahead and do laundry again before it gets crazy. If we can get the kitchen or utility room cleaned today it'll be great. Frankie was supposed to clean the utility room yesterday while I was cleaning the bedroom but football side tract him and he only got my plant table cleaned

that's ok, he's really been good about helping and it kept him out of my hair while I threw things away

Oh I also scrubbed our bathroom down while I was cleaning our bedroom since they're connected so I killed 2 birds with 1 stone yesterday.
Lori, those are tiny! You did a fantastic job!
We didn't have our soup yesterday because I spent so much time going through stuff in our bedroom. Frankie grilled burgers while I made mac and cheese and we had fridge veggies to go with it.
I may try to make soup today.

Good afternoon!
Late today. I am typing one handed as I tangled with my stove. Went to reach for something and smacked my hand, baby finger side/knuckle really hard. It is jammed and bruised. It's a definite ouch! It's my right hand thank goodness, as I am left-handed, so I can still do some things. We go get groceries a bit later.
Michael has removed all the ornaments from the big tree and I can start wrapping them back up in tissue paper and put them in their storage boxes. Only broke two this year. Aaron is stopping by to disassemble the tree later today.
Mary - glad the trip south went well. That sounds like a huge park! Of course Bill made the parking job in one try - he's good!
Tina - now the house is clean, those who dirty it, will be on the list! I had, operative word,, had, mine clean, then my gremlins came and had dinner. I don't know how they can spill so much on the floor!
Sandee came over and got her tote bag I made. She loved it. She also brought over the gifts she made for Matt and family. She is learning to play and mold resin into all kinds of things. She made keychain letters for the kids. They decorate their backpacks with this kind of stuff. Scott loved the pizza box of socks I found. He loves loud socks and these socks look like a slice of pizza.
We are still cold! More snow is coming tomorrow. Still waiting on being plowed and for the trash to be gone. We drive, back out of the driveway over and through the the piled up snow. That's why I have a Highlander!
Aaron has three days left out on the freeway and two days in court, testifying on a felony case. This case a truck driver disobeyed a troopers orders, causing injury to the trooper.
Dinner - a number of things, chicken or broccoli soup or a baked potato. We will see how my hand is feeling.
Stay Safe and warm,
Hugs,
Jana

Stippling came to a screeching halt yesterday. I ran out of thread on the cone! I still have two bobbins full of thread so may work a bit on another machine. (The bobbins do not fit on the spool for the Sweet 16.) I did order another cone of thread immediately. It will be here in a few days.
Maryz - It really sounds like a beautiful park you have moved too. Congratulations to Bill for parking the RV on the first try.
Tina - Hope you got your grandkids to work at cleaning the kitchen cupboards for you. They could at least help with the bottom half.
Jana - Ouch! Wrapping the ornaments takes time but is so worth doing. I can tell you are counting the hours until Aaron changes jobs. Many good thoughts!
Becca - Now you are cleaning cabinets?? Mine need it too! I need to quilt not clean right now though so they will wait.
The tree is down and put away as well as all the ornaments. I think we lost three red balls I think only one was due to a cat who thought they were play balls. After one crashed, she learned they were not toys and went and found her ball. She did keep pulling ornaments off the tree though. She just thought the ornaments were new toys.
Tonight's dinner will be ham and scalloped potatoes. Last night we had ham sandwiches. There will still be enough for ham and bean soup.

Here's my post from Sew In today:
We're almost finished with the big clean! Yay!

DH has to take 2 things out of the utility room and vacuum where they're sitting and the stuff under the sink in there, not sure if he'll do that tonight or not. I've been washing things that store up on top of cabinets and on top of the fridge, eww yucky! I must be a horrible house keeper! I know we had all that blowing dirt last year but gosh this is awful! My house has never been this dirty, and yes it was dirty! Gross! We've evicted as much as we can find!
We're needing prayers please...My Dad started getting sick at 1am Saturday, told me his symptoms and I told him I think it's covid. He was adamant, no it's just a common cold he tells me (he's been vaccinated and has his booster but he's also had his chemo injection since then so his immunity is way low or none) ..... for 3 days he told me that! I kept telling him to go to the hospital and get checked, nope he wouldn't. He finally called his Dr today but they said if he's sick they won't see him.

geesh! So he had to call back at 1:45 to talk to his doc and he said his symptoms sound like covid so he sent him to the hospital to get checked. Yep, he's positive, he has covid. My sister in law (not the one on our forum) that lives by him is sick, with "the common cold" she says.... they are the unvaxed! She knows she doesn't have it she says and probably won't get tested

OMG, really people! Dad has stage 4 prostate cancer which is in his rib and back and is on daily cancer pills and is on chemo injections every 6 months, but no let's be selfish and not get a vaccine but continue to be around compromised people, our own Dad! I'm so mad I'm crying! What is wrong with people! We just lost our oldest brother to covid November 13th

and an aunt (one of Dad's sisters in October) to covid. DH lost a sister and a brother in law to covid this year too

We haven't been around him for 5 days so I'm hoping we're ok.

Mary, that is an interesting way to make flying geese.
Yes, they are small blocks.
Tina, hope your dad will be okay.
Dinner was cereal.
