SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Dec 27
Good morning,
We are 66* and muggy this morning. Nice to not have to bundle up for our morning walks, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a good snowfall! And at home we have just that - about 4" of snow! I can see it on our security cameras (which feed to our phones).
We got everything stowed away yesterday and all our storage areas cleaned and re-organized. The inside of our trailer looks almost hollow! lol! I had all afternoon to sew little stars. I takes me about 4 hours to sew 10 stars. I have pieces cut and with me to make another 40. Then back home they go. Not sure how many I'll make after this. Pattern calls for 95 more for a total of 225. I love them, but they sure are tedious to cut and sew.
Today I think I'll take a break from stars and play around with the new lotto - see what I can come up with with the limited resources I have on board. Just for funsies.
Tina - so nice to wake up to a clean kitchen after a big bash! We watch all those Christmas movies you mentioned plus One Special Evening with Julie Andrews and James Garner. And Four Christmases with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. The first one is very sweet and poignant and the second is a comedy. Ah, the "A" names. So far we haven't called Antonio by Aaron's name - at least not within his hearing - and we're getting better. Bill and I made a pact when we got married that it meant nothing if he called me "Nancy" or I called him "Michael" or "Roy".
Jana - it seems everyone was doing laundry yesterday. I guess it's only my family that was doing it on Christmas Day. An awful accident for Aaron to deal with. I'm praying he gets this new job! After that last story, I think we ALL are! Sounds like Michael is feeling a lot better!
BECCA - happy Denise Day, Take Two! I hope there's a slice of orange slice cake left for her. It sounds really tasty!
LORI - I hope you got the leak fixed. You mean you'd never seen A Christmas Story before?? I love that show. Bill watches it with me every year but he cringes at the phrase, "You'll shoot your eye out!" because that's what his mom always yelled at him. He only has vision in one eye so it was a big deal in his youth. so of course, several years ago Autumn got him a red sweatshirt that says "You'll shoot your eye out!" lol!
Not much happening here - I will play with my sewing and Bill will probably play with his phone, his computer, and read. I think supper is going to be sloppy joes. and a salad on the side.
Happy suppertime!

Good morning!
We hit 30° this morning, easy better then thre 50° low we had yesterday! Geesh what's wrong with Mother Nature?! She must be depressed!
Mary, I'd love to have snow too! You know those videos of fireplaces cracking? I need one of snow falling, walking through thre forest of snow, something! LOL
You sure accomplished a lot yesterday. Not us, we were done in. I can't believe how exhausted we both were, we're better this morning thankfully.
I'm going to see what I can come up with today for the lotto too, it sounds fun and the winner could possibly, hopefully get enough for a nice size quilt without having to make more blocks to go with, the best part!
I'm not sure about supper, I know I'm already ready for not leftovers LOL..... sloppy joes does sound yummy, maybe I'll show up for you supper

Hi Everyone,
Tina - I was tired yesterday and I didn't have any company. You did well to have a clean kitchen to wake up to the next morning.
Maryz - Sorry about the confusion with the names. I will try to remember, however I cannot seem to remember that today is Monday and not Tuesday. LOL No, the niece was not the daughter of my sister, but of my brother. Her mother has refused vaccination. This niece is the one who got married a little over a year ago.
Lori - Not a disaster any of us would like to have on Christmas. Lucky for your household your son heard the running water, although very sorry it happened!
Becca - Have a great time with Denise.
We met my niece and her husband for coffee about halfway between where we live and they live. I finally gave her and her new husband the quilt I had made for them. They really liked it. It is a Kimberly Einmo design in reds and greens (not Christmas though). I finished it almost a year ago, but we just got together.
Tonight we are having leftovers. I ran errands this morning then had lunch, then we dropped off my husband's car for new brakes. I thought I had a webinar this afternoon, but it is tomorrow. It will be on EQ8. It is about snowflakes.

Good afternoon!
Waiting for our storm to arrive. The wind is here, blowing fiercely. It is cold outside! We did get our groceries earlier and I am going to experiment with a orange slice bread recipe I found. I did find several, but this one seems to be legal for Sarah. She can't handle lactose, so one I did find had cream cheese. Looked good,, but will try this one that doesn't have cream cheese. Also skipped the one with banana.
Dinner will be meatloaf, baked potato and a veggie to be named later. Using the oven for adding extra heat as I bake, is a good thing today!
Mary - how's the iron? It is a great toy!
Tina - I am laying low today too. Somehow my hip decided to act up. Naughty hip!
Becca - Michael is like CA, can eat and not gain weight. Me, I and look at a picture of food and gain!
Carol - Sarah loves EQ8 and plays with it often.
Sarah finally decided on which stove she is getting. A KitchenAid 30" slide in range. It has many bells and whistles she wants. And a price she is willing to pay. Sarah is also redoing part of her kitchen, by adding more cabinets down one wall. Also redoing her island. I smile as she shows me all the designs, it is almost a twin to my kitchen. The stove canbe ordered and installed in just a couple of days. A good thing, as her current stove is giving up the ghost quickly.
Not much here. Plenty of supplies to weather out the storms and stay in.
Do fun things!
Hugs,
Jana

Jana, the storm is on the way. It started though our area about 1 this afternoon.
Mary, yes, Jonathan was able to cut the line and cap it until the R/O guy can get here tomorrow. I had to buy bottled water, because we have soft water which has salt in it. You can't drink it. We've had the system for 28 years now and love it. I can't believe you already got your lotto blocks done. Did you have that fabric? It's perfect for the barn.
Carol, we had an inch of water in the kitchen. If he hadn't heard it, it would have been really bad.
Tina, that's funny about the snow falling. You used to be able to buy CD's with different sounds like that. I bought one that was thunder.
Becca, we had a warm December last year. It's quite different this year. We are 10* or more lower than our normal. It's cold for us. And it's been raining a lot.
I put away the Christmas stuff. Got my walk in with Jack this morning. Been straightening up the sewing room, which always seems to be a mess. Got out my flower project to work on.
We are going out for dinner. Jonathan leaves tomorrow, and he wanted to go to one of our favorite Italian places. So that's where we are headed in a bit.
Have a lovely evening.
