SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Nov 2nd

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Nov 02, 2021 5:55 am

Good morning,

We are 43* and cloudy. we'll be 50* and wet later this afternoon. And will probably be that way for the next 3 months. Time to get out of Dodge - with our Dodge! And yesterday that 'getting-out' day was moved up to Sunday, Nov 21. Our grandsons say Saturday works best for them for our TG/Christmas gathering. And it works best for us, too. We should be able to meet my DS & DBIL(Al & Tina) in AZ by Nov 24th (her birthday), and spend Thanksgiving off the road. We will be traveling with them all the way to Austin where we'll stop Dec 2nd and they will keep going on to FL to their friends' property. Looking forward to seeing them again.

TINA - it will be nice to have outdoor storage for your outdoor Christmas stuff. My nephew (Tina's son) loves to dig so he made a cave under their house to store all their outdoor stuff. He has no room for storage sheds. Just what are you doing to the rooms? I thought emptying, deep cleaning, purging. Except for moving the heavy stuff, Bill would be staying clear of a project like that! lol! Did you finish getting your house painted? Looks like our plan is to be at Dream Catcher in Deming Nov 29. Bill calls it our off-loading stop! lol! No idea when we'll get in. We'll be traveling with Al & Tina so don't make any plans for us, please. But it will be good to visit a bit.

JANA - I remember when that tree fell on your shed when you were in Concord! what a mess you had! Wasn't your house up for sale, then, too? That's a lot of hair to cut off! Will you donate it to Locks of Love for cancer patients?

BECCA - Having company is really nice, but spreading it out is good. Were they overnighters, or just there for the day?

We decided to invite our friends, Gus & Claudia, for supper last night. They are good with spontaneous invitations. So I marinated and baked chicken and served it with a Dijon sauce. Twice baked potatoes, brussels sprouts, salad, cheesy/pepper muffins, and root beer floats. It was a nice evening. We haven't seen them in a while and it was fun to catch up. and we have leftovers for tonite! Yay for leftovers!

What are you having?

Mary, what fun to have an impromptu dinner. It's always nice to visit with friends. Glad you will get to spend your sister's birthday with her. The next few weeks will fly by and you'll be on the road again.

Tina, that is a good sized shed. My sewing room is only 9 x 11. You should be able to fit lots of stuff inside.

Jana, Your hair is really long. Last time I saw you it was just past your shoulders when it was curled.
You have such beautiful hair.

Hi Becca. Are you still going to the bakery for fresh bread?

I had lunch with a girlfriend yesterday. It was nice to catch up. When I got home I worked on a Christmas quilt. It's one of the kits I bought last year. I finally got my machine back on Saturday and I would like to get a few quilts done before Christmas.

We will be having a late lunch today, so no dinner. If we're hungry, we'll have cereal later. DH is playing golf this morning. Jack and Wrigley have had their walk and are sleeping. It's a lot of work smelling every little thing outside.

Have a lovely day.

Good morning!

A little bit rainy, a little bit of sun peeking through. Sarah just brought home my groceries and helped me put it all away. Dinner will be a pot roast in the crockpot. Sarah and I had our mouth set on a roast leg of lamb, but that was out at the store.

Michael is doing great! Compared to a week ago, it is night and day. His O2 is holding. The only time we have it drop is upon exertion, but it comes back up quickly. At night, we turn it down to kept the O2 number at a reasonable number. During the day, we keep it up one number because of more activity. I haven't fattened him up yet, he is the same as when he came home from the hospital.

Heading over to the dining room and sew. Back to my same old boring life! LOL! It's even quiet on the Aaron front. But with snow, comes all the driver's that think they know best in how to drive in that fluffy white stuff, crashing, and those who have no idea on how to drive in snow, crashing, and those of us, who are smart enough to stay home, off the road, safe and sound!

Better scoot,
Hugs,
Jana
