Good morning,

I overslept this morning. Was shocked to see it was 5:30 when I woke up! But I had some acid reflux during the night and had to get up to take an antacid and spend several hours sleeping on 3 pillows so I was half sitting. Hate that! But all is better this morning.

Our Boondockers are leaving this morning and heading down the Oregon Coast. We have new ones coming in tonite and after that no more on the books. This couple has been delightful! We've really enjoyed getting to know them. We invited them in for spaghetti last night and they even helped clear the table! They fit right in. Most of our "-dockers" won't get this treatment but sometimes you meet someone and you just click.

I cleaned my sewing room yesterday and then made more progress on my last 10 Halloween blocks. They are all fused down and ready for stitching. And I got two stitched with 8 left to go. I'll hopefully get some more done on them today.

IRISH - you lead a pretty exciting night life! I can barely stay awake after 8pm! lol! So where is the next trip you are off to? I hope Covid doesn't throw a wet blanket on your fun! And don't worry about letting the weeds sit - if I've learned one thing about weeds, it's that they are super patient and will thrive under your neglect!

BECCA - who drove CA to his appt yesterday? So glad that is in his rear view mirror now. We had another friend who also had a tooth pulled yesterday. I guess with any hospital today we need to insist on itemized bills before paying a cent. Insurance companies want to know every single item charged and the mistakes made are mind-boggling. (Before I was a nurse, I worked for an insurance company and paid medical claims.)

TINA - your yard must be a show place by now! Ours is in desperate need of attention and it just might get it this coming week. Or not. . . :D We have talked about going to our chamber of commerce and seeing if we can get simple maps of the area with attractions and services listed. Many RV parks give these out.

I made an experimental recipe for a Sweet Orange Pie last night. I guess it came out pretty good. EVeryone seemed to like it and our 'dockers were eager to take a few slices with them when they left. I got the recipe out of a cozy mystery I read by Joanne Fluke - Triple Chocolate Cheesecake Murder. I will probably make it again. I like her books and also Diane Mott Davidson because they both always include about a dozen recipes and I've tried many of them.

Tonite's supper will be leftovers of everything - spaghetti, salad, garlic parmesan toast, and the pie.

What's the plan for your tummy tonite?

Good morning!
LOL my yards aren't show place quality just right for kids and relaxing though, if we can keep the flies and mosquitoes away! I do have plans for after these other 3 pine trees are out though. 🤫🤣😂
Mary, we're gonna need to see that recipe please. I'm glad your boondockers were a win experience.
Oh I forgot to tell you that my aunt is 66. We can't get anyone to answer phone calls or texts since day before yesterday, we are very concerned. I'll let you all know if we hear anything. Prayers would be greatly appreciated.
The kids might be coming over today, Holly had to take yesterday off because of a migraine and she asked if we might be able to take the kids today.
I'm working on swap blocks.
I'm not sure about supper yet, I need to see if it'll just be us 2 or if we'll be 5 with the kids.
Tina

Good afternoon from a very sunny, warm, SW. Pa.....We're back to summery weather, not sure for how long, but I'm loving it......

Mary, Oversleeping until 5:30?????Oversleeping to me would be, maybe 8:30 and then I really feel guilty, lol....And this would have been a good morning to sleep in...We played cards at my house last night and at 3:00 this morning, I was waving goodbye....I was beginning to think they were going to stay for breakfast, lol....But, we sure did have fun, don't remember when I laughed so much or see my sister's eyes leaking from laughing...Happy to hear about your boondockers and have a feeling, the word will get out and you'll have lots of visitors....
You mentioned Bill needed to take a huge dose of antibiotics before a dental appointment...I normally get 4 huge pills to take 4 hours before but this last time, my RX was a 10 day supply..Dr. wanted to play it safe but those darn pills are big! Not sure if I'd ever mentioned it but the doctors feel Chris' last valve infection came from a cleaning...From the very beginning of his problem, he was very vigilant about taking his RX before appointments and the last one, I believe they even upped the dosage...Would you believe, his dentist, who was a friend and actually blamed himself, had a massive heart attack 6 months later and passed away.....
And, you're right about those weeds and it doesn't take long before their friends join them....Maybe I'll interrupt their party today, maybe......

Becca, I too was wondering who drove CA to his appointment but knew he would be in good hands no matter who......You really do have lots of people looking our for you two......Dental appointments just make me shudder and I'm thinking it has to be from a bad experience when I was very little...These days, it seems most dentists are painless and are very caring, but I still get white knuckled.......

Tina, I can imagine your concern for your aunt...Hoping and praying for good news....Yard work is hard work but it helps relieve a lot of tension and then that finished product is well worth it (even if the back is killing you, lol)...I'm finding now, some of my plants will have to be moved, some in the front got too big or just need to be put in a different spot...But, I love walking out the door and seeing all the color and already have plans for next year.....

Well, I really need to get moving....My bed needs changed and the kitchen needs cleaned up...I have empty pizza boxes on the counter along with empty soda cans, you'd think there was a party happening here.....Not sure if we're playing tonight...The other couple we meet up with might have other plans, which is OK by me....2 nights in a row really knocks me for a loop, lol......

So, not sure what dinner might be, left overs if we don't play cards.....
You all have a great rest of the day........

Happy eating....................

Well I am very late to the table today. I have been dealing with finding a organist for Church tomorrow and the next couple of months. Don't know details except he had emergency surgery. I found a organist and we are good to go. I can conduct on a moments notice, but I cannot play the piano or organ, I don't even read music!

Dinner last night was a super easy soup that I found. It really only took about 15 minute from start to bowl. It was a green chile enchilada soup. The quick prep was using a pre cook chicken breast. Michael found at Costco when he got milk, some individual serving packets, for salads and such of pre cooked chicken - already cut into small pieces. The soup base was open a can and dump, after sauteing some garlic and onion. Michael even went back for seconds and stuffed himself. There is about a bowl or so left and I think if I tried to eat it before he had the chance, I would be in the dog house! I will find something tonight to eat for me.

I have Michael making me the large print signs for my lesson tomorrow. Quotes that I put up on the board as I teach my lesson. Points that I really want to make sure are presented. Michael is much better at Word than I am, so he does this for me. I just put the quotes I want in a file and he does the rest.

So I will be playing with the sewing embroidery on my machine, reading over my notes, in between thread changes. Women can multi task! LOL!

Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
