Howdy everyone.
I do believe I will be actually cooking tonight.
Looks like I have a box of Hamburger Helper that is begging to be used. (Potato Stroganoff)
A lettuce salad is all we need to go with it
Using down all the stuff in freezer and frig prior to Monday. I plan to move food stuff right away. Nice big frig to look forward to.
Still have a bunch of fresh peaches from our friends to use as well.
Every year they make a trip to a Southern Illinois Orchard and bring back lots of boxes of peaches for friends. (Taking orders and then calling people to come to their farm to pick them up and pay. He doesn't charge extra. Not a money making deal, just a neighborly thing he enjoys doing. They have done this for like 25 - 30 years.
She loves to bake. Makes pies, peach cobbler, peach bread, peach pudding, etc. Then shares with a bunch of friends.
She knows I don't bake much, so she loves to spoil my husband with cookies and treats whenever we ride along with them to these dances. DH calls her the "cookie fairy". I think it tickles her.
Better get busy and get some stuff done. Working at getting our things put back in the car that we always carried in truck. Space is not abundant so some things are NOT going back. Now I have to find a place to put them. Then, more stuff on moving day. LOL

Good morning!

My mountains are almost all the way back! We can see across the valley again and even saw a star or two last night.

Dinner here too, will be a chef salad. I have some tri tip that I will add along with all the other fixings. Some day old sourdough bread I will make into croutons. They are so yummy!

Not much here. We are heading across the valley to pick up some engines that Michael ordered over a year ago. The manufacturer won't make the run of building the engines until he has a big enough pre order. This makes it so hard to get modeling supplies for the railroad. But like us quilters, Michael has garnered over the years a sizeable stash. A good thing, he can't complain about my stash!

So when we get back, I will sew more on my current quilt. With this quilt, every time I have it out on the sewing island, I get distracted by Sarah or other things. It will get done!

Mary - good to be home and not in all that heat. Sorry about the carpal problem. Hoping it goes away quick!

Vel - so , not many days left. Helping out at the church sale is good on two fronts, they need the help and you get first look at what comes in that you might need! My mom organized the rummage sales, once a month at a community center when I was little and got a ironing board she needed. It was a old fashioned wooden ironing board that she had until she passed away. I gave it to our local Deseret industries, like Goodwill. I am sure it got another good home. She used it for more than 50 years.

Hi everyone! I'm running late again.
Mary, that's how I feel when we get that nasty heat! I'm just looking for bubbling brew that looks good with my rest. The one I have looks good but it makes too many dark colors on my block....I think I have a few different ones that will go better and give me a good contrast. Jazmyne stayed with us but I think she'll be good to go to school tomorrow.
Irish, I'm on that soap box right there with you and Mary. I have an aunt that's in ICU with the variant and she's had her vaccines but she's in fragile health normally. Any prayers you have would be greatly appreciated.

Jana, I say the same thing about Frankie's tool stash LOL I use it against him when he says anything about my stash
Well looks like we're all having salads tonight, us too.
Dad wil be here in about 45 minutes. After he leaves we need to go fill our truck up then go get Adams trailer because we're going to go get a little tractor that was Frankie's dad's and Frankie's nephew has it but wants it to go to Frankie so we're going tomorrow. We're borrowing Adam's trailer just because I want to be a pain in the patootie and keep him from using his trailer for 2 days I have 2 days free rental at Tractor Supply but I'd rather take his. Yep, I can be a total you know what!
