I couldn't sleep last night so I took a PM. Now I'm late and groggy. Ugh. I hate that feeling.
CHICKIE UPDATE: She is back in the hospital as of yesterday afternoon. She's been feeling pretty rocky the last few days and finally got in to see her new doctor and vomited into the wastebasket during her exam. Her electrolytes, especially sodium, are out of whack and she is dehydrated. Her son's girlfriend, and ER nurse, was with her and Doyle at dr and she took Chickie to ER after the appointment and Chickie was admitted on the spot. She said they drew a lot of blood. She started feeling better through the evening as ER fluids started hydrating her. I texted her this morning, but so far no answer back. Patients are busy in the mornings.
TINA - happy vacation!! And I hope the dust is kept down. At least the farmer is now aware of the problem.
BECCA - did you have a nice visit with your friends? Your snack spread sounds delicious! I may have to drop by if that's how you feed your guests!
ROSEBUD - I like the idea of a shadow box (attic window?) border. Once, I did a border where I accented the upper right corner and the lower left corner with a coordinating fabric. I extended the fabric from the corners halfway to the center in both directions so it was longer on the longer sides of the quilt. It gave an interesting and artistic effect without distracting from the star of the show - the quilt itself.
JANA - so happy to hear Ruby is home from her walkabout!! My yard would definitely drive you crazy. I leave it a natural as possible and make the most of nature - ferns, big rocks, old logs, Oregon grape, salad, huckleberry, huge trees, etc. We have very little formal areas. Surprisingly, keeping it natural requires some work, too!
LORI - there ya go! You have an automatic boo boo bandager in the house! It's not his fault if you don't get many boo boos. But he's standing by . . .
Our supper last night turned out not so bad. Except I had planned to make a sauce for over the chicken and just realized a moment ago that I forgot that part! lol! I tried a new Rice-a-Roni flavor - Buffalo Chicken. It was good, but spicy. The cauliflower, I par-boiled, broke up and laid in a backing dish, topped with seasonings, cheeses, bread crumbs, and a bit of melted butter. It was pretty good!
