SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Feb 19

Good morning,
Quiet day yesterday. I got my "Get Together" quilt top done except for the borders. Will do that this morning and piece the back. When I choose the fabric from my backing stash. I read the calendar wrong and thought my two appts were yesterday but they are this morning instead. Then we have an appt to go pick out our bathroom floor this afternoon. We're also trying to find a vanity we like. Everything we've seen is either white, gray or very dark brown, smooth, with ugly handles and knobs. Uninspiring. I like what we've had for 25 yrs better but it's getting a little time-worn. So we'll keep looking, mostly on-line though we've gone to a few stores, too. So my day will be a little bit of sewing, and 3 appts.
I was talking with Gene, my brother. He got his second vaccine about 5 days ago as did his wife, who is now in a memory care facility. Both of them have had a few days of feeling dizzy, nauseated, headache. Indicates the vaccine is working, but hoping they are both through that stage by today. I get my second shot on Tuesday and have a dental cleaning on Thursday. I hope I don't have to cancel the appt.
JANA - I've gone back to your batt cave photos 3 times, admiring. Will be nice to have a rolling ironing surface. When we finally remove the old BR vanity, I'm going to convert that to mine but it won't roll out of sight. It will just be there. Poor Matt. He is probably getting pretty frustrated with Enoch problems by now. I will look at John Flynn's DWR method. Thx.
ROSEBUD - so sorry more woes have been added to your woe list. That's too bad that someone didn't give you the prep orders for your test. And a broken tooth on top of that is just what you don't need. I've broken 3 teeth like that over the years = all on soft foods. My dentist said that usually when it happens like that the tooth was already cracked. Softer foods create more 'suction' as you chew and pull the tooth apart. Makes sense the way he explains it. Praying things improve for you soon. And that your tooth is, eventually, a quick and painless fix.
BECCA - sounds like it's "go-time" for your new baby quilt. I love starting a new project. This will be special because the way you describe it sounds like it will be a one of a kind quilt for a one of a kind baby! When will "we" find out if it's a boy or a girl?
TINA - your fabric closet is starting to come together in my mind! Glad it's finally coming together in your room, too! Now, let's talk lighting. Is it good in that closet or should we get Frankie involved again?
Last night I made a mushroom sauce and added my leftover restaurant chicken, diced, and we had it over egg noodles. It was really good. At the moment, for tonite, I'm leaning toward meatloaf and baked potatoes for supper. I was considering chili rellenos but decided we need a break from "international" foods with some good old fashioned meat and potatoes.
What's the supper story at your house?
