SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 18

Good morning,
Our weather is back to normal. High 30's to 50 degrees for next 10 days. With rain or drizzle more than half of the days.
I got all showered and dressed and ready for my chiropractor and massage appts this morning and just realized they are both tomorrow morning. Oh well. Getting an early start to my day, I guess.
Our floor guy was supposed to come yesterday but put us off til today so I need to try to keep the floors clean one more day. Sometimes a tough assignment around here! I got my fabric I ordered for my "Get Together" quilt so I'm going to try to 'get it together' today.
TINA - Glad Holly got her water fixed. You are really making progress on getting your room organized. I have several totes slid under our LA - Wools, flannel for backings, large batting scraps, my scrapbooking tote, my Featherweight, and a tote full of gift bags. It's a great storage area. But no shelf. It all just sits on the floor and I slide them in and out.
BECCA - Oh no! Irish said her friend was 91 and she felt hesitant to visit because of Covid. Irish is still a young chickadee! I love hearing about 'her' eagles, too. And funny you should ask about breaking a nail while grocery shopping. I just did that last trip! Not unusual and I don't understand why. I can garden and my nails get dirty but don't break.
JANA - I hope Sarah finds a simple answer to her medical problems. You've got a lot of snow! You're welcome! It will make for a better summer. I've seen the strip piecing method of DWR. Not sure that's the way I want to go. I have QIAD's DWR ruler set, but not sure that's the way either. Still thinking . . . Loved your photos. I have to go back and study them some more though. Didn't have time yesterday as we were on our way to dinner.
IRISH - I can see an IC quilt in red and black. It would be striking, for sure! I love black and brights but somehow black fabric really attracts cat hair. That's a problem here. And as I type, I have a sleepy kitty head resting on my left hand and bouncing as I type! lol! My house practically is a library! lol! I have shelves of books in every room. I've ready almost all of them, some more than once. Plus I download audio books from the library onto my i-pad and listen to them all the time. I can also download from Aut's library in TX.
Well, it was so nice to go out to supper last night with our friends. Tables were spaced and our server, "Ciprian" (unusual name!) wore a mask. But they changed their menu A LOT and so I got adventurous and ordered chicken and polenta with a clear sauce w/mushrooms. It was very disappointing. There was no flavor in any part of the dish. So I brought the chicken home, will cut it up and make alfredo with it tonite.
