We are on the chilly side this morning. I took Scottie out and the grass is 'crispy'. Yesterday was productive here. I vacuumed the entire upper level of the house (living/dining/hall/3 rooms), cleaned the bathroom, made rice pudding, quilted and bound my last orphan quilt, and chose backings from my stash for two more tops - reindeer and Fox in the Pines, both made while in Texas. "Fox" is a wide back so no piecing there but "Reindeer" has to be pieced. I have the Swing into Spring swap top ready to load onto the frame for quilting. Bill does the loading, so if he gets it on there, I'll start quilting that one. If he doesn't, I'll start putting Norm & Nanette together. I have a couple other projects I am excited to start, but am trying to finish up these other ones first. We'll see how that goes....

TINA - thanks for the recipe. It is very similar to my friend's. She made it for all my family after my dad died in 1994 and it was so good, I asked her for it and now make it occasionally. What are the measurements of your room? My sewing room is 10x10 but across the hall is the quilting room, 10x13. No one comes to spend the night at our house so I don't need an extra bedroom. And just so you know, in my world 5'4" IS tall! I am not quite 5 feet but I don't have my LA set as low at it goes. That causes me to bend over (yes, even me!) and makes my back ache after a few passes. I like it about elbow height, so I stand straight, but don't have to reach much.
JANA - Did your island get finished? Emma's dress? It's been busy at your house. As to the vaccines, our state has lowered the age to 65. I had thought that it was lowered nationally. Also, we learned that people with a BMI over 30 are eligible as obesity is considered a risk factor. Too bad you lost all that weight! We were able to get appts - Feb 20 for Bill and Mar 17 for me - but are trying for earlier ones as WA is opening up several mass vaccinations sites this coming week.
BECCA - sorry to hear that doctors suspect Brodee may have CP. Will pray they are wrong. What a treat to see Beth and the little ones! I only put about 1/2 tsp sugar in my pot of spaghetti sauce and just a pinch of cinnamon. But like yours, my sauce is always different, depending on what I have on hand.
LORI - sorry about the carpet. We had that problem with one of our past cats, Bunny. We had to shellac the plywood flooring underneath to seal it before we could re-carpet after Bunny went to kitty heaven. But if you have cement, that probably isn't a problem. How is your FIL adjusting to his new home? He's had a lot of changes in his life in this past year. I hope he could take his dog with him. My state bird quilt ended up about 80x100". Not sure what I'll do with it, but it was just one of those things I had to make. As to sugar, I'm that way with coffee. Before my first pregnancy, I liked cream and sugar. During my first four months any coffee made me sick, but after that I couldn't handle sugar in it, just cream. To this day, even a few grains of sugar in coffee bothers me. I never use those sweet, flavored creamers.
Tonight, I'm going to make chicken (perhaps Tina's recipe!), brussels sprouts, salad. I may or may not add potatoes of some sort. I forgot we bought sprouts at Costco last week, and we have salad veggies that need to be eaten sooner rather than later.
Have you got any ideas yet about your supper?
