Supper Club - Tues, Jan 12

Good morning,
43’ in Colusa this morning. Balmy after some of the temps we’ve had this past week. Today’s run will be over the Suskiyous and into Oregon. Our last actual travel night. Tomorrow will be into WA and then over to the coast for 3 nights, home on Saturday. Our RV shelter is occupied by our friend’s old trailer until Sunday.
Chickie, Bad Dog Odie! Worse than kitty paw prints! Ham and beans sound good to me. I Took dry beans with us but never got around to making them.
Jana, thanks for reminding me that I have grandma’s spot remover at home. I did get most of the paw prints out. The faint stains left will be covered in thread. There are still visible prints at the edges but they will be cut off when I frame the piece. Foxy was very persona non grata all day that day! Thanks for the hints on your special grilled cheese!
Tina, when I need something at my side to hold the weight of a quilt I use my ironing board. It is adjustable height and when I’m done I put it away. Is Moxie your new LA?
Becca, A very good call to stay home when it snows. When I was younger I was so much more adventuresome. Especially with my four-wheel-drive. But now I am content to watch it snow from inside my living room or, better yet, my sewing room!
Mary Rose, sending prayers and healthy thoughts your way! I think a Lovers Knot would be purrfect for a wedding quilt. I have the pattern but never made the quilt. Have you decided on colors yet?
Lori, we have stayed here at Colusa Casino many times but always just a quick overnight stop. Never unhitched to explore the town. Never knew there was a Quilt Shop here. Maybe next time I will try to check it out
I haven’t heard from Irish lately so maybe I will send her a text later to see how she is doing. My BIL says my sis is doing OK but bored and depressed. She needs something to do so I suggested, if her shoulder will allow her, he go get her some yarn and she crochets little hats and tiny 18x24 blankets to donate to NICU in Denver.
Tonite’s planned menu is Rice-Roni with added canned chicken and peas. But we still have potato salad and hot dogs left so that may be it instead. Or chicken patties and potato and green salads... all simple travel day meals. Guess I will wait and surprise myself.
