Good morning!

I am an early riser - usually by 5 AM. I adjust to time change well going east but coming back west is more difficult. Now Every morning at 3 AM my eyeballs spring wide open. šŸ‘šŸ‘. The fur kids adjusted to Texas time very well too, And are not about to go back to Pacific time and wait longer for their breakfast without a fight.

Today is Autumnā€™s 44th Birthday. I will give her a call later on. Itā€™s also my dadā€™s 109th birthday. She was born on his 65th. The last of his 20 grand children

We did make our 400 miles yesterday, fighting wind for half of that distance. We rolled into Orange Grove RV Park, plugged in the power, and called it a day. DH was pretty tired. Weā€™ve decided to spend an extra night here just to rest up before the final push home.

I finished my Cross-stitch, ā€œWinter Camperā€ and removed it from the frame. Today Iā€™m going to get out my sewing machine and attach the next project, ā€œSpring Camperā€. Do you see a pattern forming here? Guess what the last two projects are in this series...

Jana, we did see a lot of trains yesterday. And the Tehachapi loop. On other trips we have pulled off there and watched the trains make the loop. But not this time. And you are right! The oranges are ripe! Just a quick stroll with the dog last night brought in six oranges. We will pick a bag today.

Becca, you said you were on 2 blood pressure medications. Do you take them at the same time or space them out? Some medicines are more effective if they are not taken together, and some should be taken together. A Pharmacist can give you more info on that. Also, grapefruit Doesnā€™t play nice with some medicationā€™s.

Mary Rose, I sure hope you can get the disability. What pattern is the wedding quilt you are doing?

Tina, sounds like you are set for projects for the near future.

Since we are here for the day I think I will put a hamburger stew into the crockpot. And I have refrigerated biscuits I can bake. This will make enough for two suppers. Counting tonight, we have seven more suppers on the road. The last three nights we will camp on the Washington coast just for fun. Our friend, Tex, has been camped there for two weeks by himself. So we feel safe joining him. His campsite is quite a long walk from where ours will be.

How is the supper planning at your house coming along?

Good morning!
Mary, that was a long drive yesterday! I started to text you yesterday and suggest staying an extra day there too LOL we must think alike. Happy sewing and relaxing day today! Yum, fresh oranges! ā¤
Maryrose, I am praying they approve your disability, you need and deserve it.
Becca, I hope your BP gets straightened out too ā¤
We didn't have chicken and rice last night, we just weren't in the mood I guess so we had chef salads instead, they were yum!
Tonight will be ham sliders and salad.
Tina

Good morning,
Mary let me guess, could the next two be summer and fall? The wedding quilt is still in the deciding phase. I have reduced the choices down to 3 different quilt patterns. The 3 are Lover's knot, Tennessee Waltz, and Garden Walk. I am leaning toward Garden Walk with the "pathways" being done in different colors. The pathways form rings that really stand out when made with multiple colors.
Happy to here you made it to your 400 mile destination and that you will be resting for an extra day before continuing your homeward journey.

Tina your salads for last night's supper sound good. So do the sliders for tonight. Last night just after we said good night, one of the girls from work stopped by and brought me some canned soups and oranges, and checked to make sure I was doing okay.

Tonight's supper may just be one of those cans of soup.
Blessings to each of you.

Let's see if this worked. Ok, at least you can access the picture. This is what the Garden Walk quilt looks like in 3 colors.

Good afternoon!

Lesson went well. My technical guru, Sarah came to back me up - no glitches. Maybe next month I will be able to do it on my own. LOL We will see ......

We are having quite the discussion on geothermal heat - I will quilt!

Dinner - our Sunday brunch - Michael likes his routines. I have some strawberries for a after later tonight. I might make a batch of rice krispy treats to munch on as well. I do a half batch so we don't have too many goodies around here.

Mary - good to stay another night! Driving in that wind is hard. There is a canyon, just out of Reno, that I-80 goes through and no matter which way you go, it is very windy and blows the car around, let alone a fifth wheel! I assume you are heading straight up I-5, not much to see on that road. Hope the north mountains are clear for you getting into Oregon. Daniel is not to far from I-5 in the north - I will have Karlie wave! He is closer to 99, to Marysville, but that is the wrong way from you. The Indian Casinos are open, last I heard from the govenor's order to shut everything.

Tina - chef salad is a go to meal around here quite often.

Becca - soup and grilled is a favorite too. Ethan likes my fancy grilled cheese - I add parmesan to the outside of the bread, so that melts and crisps up too.

Well, time to change clothes and put on my jeans and a comfy shirt, a dress for only so long!

Hugs,
Jana

Added upon again! Sarah just showed me how she used a IKEA cabinet and turned it into a ironing board on the top that slides under her counter. Well, I have the same opportunity to create a similar ironing center when we do the desk side of my sewing area - which is in the final plannning stages
