Supper Club - Sunday, Jan 10
Posted: Sun Jan 10, 2021 4:50 am
Good morning!
I am an early riser - usually by 5 AM. I adjust to time change well going east but coming back west is more difficult. Now Every morning at 3 AM my eyeballs spring wide open. šš. The fur kids adjusted to Texas time very well too, And are not about to go back to Pacific time and wait longer for their breakfast without a fight.
Today is Autumnās 44th Birthday. I will give her a call later on. Itās also my dadās 109th birthday. She was born on his 65th. The last of his 20 grand children
We did make our 400 miles yesterday, fighting wind for half of that distance. We rolled into Orange Grove RV Park, plugged in the power, and called it a day. DH was pretty tired. Weāve decided to spend an extra night here just to rest up before the final push home.
I finished my Cross-stitch, āWinter Camperā and removed it from the frame. Today Iām going to get out my sewing machine and attach the next project, āSpring Camperā. Do you see a pattern forming here? Guess what the last two projects are in this series...
Jana, we did see a lot of trains yesterday. And the Tehachapi loop. On other trips we have pulled off there and watched the trains make the loop. But not this time. And you are right! The oranges are ripe! Just a quick stroll with the dog last night brought in six oranges. We will pick a bag today.
Becca, you said you were on 2 blood pressure medications. Do you take them at the same time or space them out? Some medicines are more effective if they are not taken together, and some should be taken together. A Pharmacist can give you more info on that. Also, grapefruit Doesnāt play nice with some medicationās.
Mary Rose, I sure hope you can get the disability. What pattern is the wedding quilt you are doing?
Tina, sounds like you are set for projects for the near future.
Since we are here for the day I think I will put a hamburger stew into the crockpot. And I have refrigerated biscuits I can bake. This will make enough for two suppers. Counting tonight, we have seven more suppers on the road. The last three nights we will camp on the Washington coast just for fun. Our friend, Tex, has been camped there for two weeks by himself. So we feel safe joining him. His campsite is quite a long walk from where ours will be.
How is the supper planning at your house coming along?
