Good morning!
I hope I have the day right today. Life has been a little crazy this past week. But we did make it to Longmont and have my sister settled in her house now. We helped Allan unload the trailer and today he and Bill will finish that, take it to dump the tanks, winterize it, and then take it to storage. I will be at my sister’s house doing laundry. Ours and maybe hers. And whatever other chores I can do to help them re-settle. Her knee feels better (10 days post-op), but this serious injury on top of her shoulder fracture Oct 27, which was on top of her elbow/wrist/hand injury in August have left her in a bit of a mental funk. Time for me to make my exit! Which we plan to do tomorrow morning if weather holds.
Jana, we are watching the weather closely. Tomorrow morning will finally determine our route for sure but at this point we plan to blast across Wyoming and hope to make it to Evanston, WY (~420 miles). If you have a weather forecast for Thursday and Friday between Evanston and Twin Falls that would be great! We have signed up for DOT alerts for Wyoming and Utah plus we have two different weather modules on our phones which are varying wildly. But if Aaron has any extra input, we are more than happy to hear it! We see a big storm coming so we may hole up in Evanston or Rock Springs an extra night
Our friend, Tex, has his old trailer parked in our RV shelter at home. Expecting us to be gone til mid-Feb, he took his new trailer and is spending 2 weeks at our favorite campground at the coast. So we are thinking we might just go join him for a few days rather than going straight home. It’s a baby plan yet, but growing in Bill’s head. It sounds OK to me.
Chickie, thanks for correcting my mistake yesterday. Hope you’re getting a handle on all those scraps! They can get out of hand. Then it’s time to make this scrappy project
Tina, the first day back from Christmas break and the boys have the day off? That seems odd to me. But then this whole school year has been odd. And yes, it sounded good to hear you got your quilt on the frame.
Becca, hope you are getting some good walking weather. I want somebody to have some warm sunshine!
Carol, I am very pleased to hear your sister is making progress. I assume she has been in the hospital this whole time? I bet she is getting tired of that!! Any surgery date on her horizon yet? Not been a good month for sisters!
Lori, your Emma, and Chickie’s Brutus, both look a lot like my sweet Bunny. All Pretty tabbies. She has been gone five years now but I still miss her gentle company in my sewing room. She and Riley both loved to nestle into sloppy piles of fabric, which there are always plenty of. I know how much you miss her.
Irish, any eagle updates?
I think tonight’s supper will be spaghetti. A day late for national spaghetti day. Allan says he is going to make it for us – his specialty. They have veggies for a small salad, too, so I will probably be making that.
What are your thoughts on supper tonite?
