Good morning!

Sounds like everyone had a good Christmas celebration, if different.

Carol, will keep your sister in prayer. I bet your new kitty loved the wrapping paper!

Irish, glad to have you back at the table! We’ve missed you! Fun to be back on egg watch

Becca, so you didn’t have any family this year but it sounds like you made the most of the day anyway with face timing and ham!

Jana, was the roast “well done“ in the smoker? Some of us cannot handle pink meat of any kind! 🙊

Lori, yes, that pattern looks like it would be fun to do but it’s going to have to wait for now. But I am NOT calling it a UFO! I don’t consider anything a UFO unless I have actually started working on it and then left it. I guess I would call it a PP - Planned Project, 😁

Ours was very different. Breakfast at Autumn’s was cancelled. An hour before we were to leave, my sister hit her head on the pin box of the fifth wheel and fell, landing full - weight on her knee and then falling backward. We ended up calling 911 because she couldn’t move. None of us could go to hospital with her, thank you, Covid. She fractured kneecap and will have surgery today. They will start her immediately on PT. we are all scheduled to leave this park December 30, next Wednesday. Their plan is to go home but we are not sure if she will even be able to get in and out of the trailer. So we may stay around longer to give her more recuperation time. My brother-in-law is inclined to have a family member drive down in their SUV and drive her back in that, motelling along the way. It’s a 1000 mile trip. He would follow w/ trailer and pets. Doctor says she can put weight on it after surgery. It will be immobilized in a brace So it won’t bend. The problem is it’s on her left side, as is her broken shoulder. And that makes it difficult getting into the high pick up. And also the trailer because the grab bars are on the right. She can scoot on her butt but once she is inside the trailer, I don’t know how he will get her up right. It’s a bad situation. We even had buzzards circling and she laid on the ground! But, as they say, it could always be worse. So if you could add my sister to Carol‘s sister when you say sister prayers, it would be appreciated.

We will still get together with Autumn, perhaps today. If not, tomorrow for sure and probably at our campsite rather than her house.

Today, will be some sewing, we will be around my brother-in-law a lot. He is pretty upset. And if there is supper, it will be pizza as I have a crust and leftover sauce to use up.

Oh no Mary. That will be a Christmas to remember. Sure hope your sisters surgery goes well and she heals up quickly. She's not had a very good trip. No pun intended. I haven't done any machine sewing in a week. So don't know when I'll start my tree either. I'm waiting for my Janome to come back from the shop. They are usually really fast, but I think a lot of people are sewing these days.

Becca, taking decorations down isn't fun. That's the main reason I don't put much up anymore.

I've been doing some embroidery on the "Vintage Tin" pattern. Emma, one of my kitties is not doing well, so I embroider and she sits on my lap. In our house it's all about the dogs and cats. I wouldn't have it any other way.

For dinner I thinking maybe soup. I'll have to see what I have in the fridge.

Have a lovely day.

Good morning!
Mary and Carol, prayers for both your sisters 🙏
Mary, I've been up and down 5th wheels a lot, even just regular travel trailers, I just don't see how that's going to work for your sis in her conditioner for sure. If it was a motorhome at least it would just be once inside then out at home. That sure was a lot of bracelet kits you all did! Lucky kids though. I hope you get to see Autumn today.
Becca, glad you got to hear from all your kids yesterday. We have so many leftovers that Holly and the kids need to come help eat again. I need to do laundry too and maybe start undecorating.
Lori, I hope your kitty is ok.
Well I think we're taking food to Kevin's gate today. A huge tray of the baked goodies and a little or alotta bit of everything we ate for Christmas so they can have a day after Christmas dinner and leftovers too. He's not doing very good, I don't think it's a very mild case unfortunately, if it it covid. If it's not covid then he has a bad case of the flu, either way I don't want to breath the same air as him so we won't see any of them right now except by video.
Supper here will be leftovers.
Tina

Good morning!

Mary - what a time your sister is having! Ouch! I know knee problems well. Maybe a small step stool could help get her into the truck. I have to do that with getting in my kids tall trucks. Then I can slide my tush on the seat and scoot over. You might even need something like that to get in and out of a SUV as well.

Becca - sounds like a great time at your house, sharing time with all your family.

Here we were quiet. Scott came across the street to visit for awhile. He loved the quilt I did for him. Bright batik colors with black backgrounds. I forgot that he is color blind, so he can only see some of the color, but loved it anyway! I have slowly won him over about me. Scott was very leery about me as he had only known my older brother who is quite a horse's pa-toot. As Scott has gotten to know me - us - he has learned that we may have had the same parents, but that was as far as it went. I feel bad for my brother, but he made those choices and now lives with the consequences.

The organizing bug has bit. The center console of the Highlander is driving me nuts! So it will get needed attention as well as the rest of the car. That bug bit Michael too. He needed some new data sticks for the computers so he could do the end of the year housekeeping. And then the drawers etc in the sewing area, the kitchen, ...... I will be busy!

Dinner - chili over rice seems like a good idea. I have a bit of rice leftover from dinner the other night. The prime rib, smoked or regular, were done to a perfect medium, just to the rare side. Sorry Mary, but even that was more cooked than Aaron and I like it. We tend to be on the quite rare side of beef, but the rest of the family is the medium side. Daniel likes it rare too, as he says, just past mooing. Sorry.

Many prayers,
Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
