Good morning!!

TINA - happy birthday!! I hope your day is extra special!!

Yesterday I made pillowcases from leftover pine fabric. With fox fabric used for the Cuffs. They match the quilt top I made for my sister. We also got in a lot of walking, an afternoon game of Racko w/ Al & Tina, some reading, and finally a combined supper of the casserole I described here yesterday which turned out to be not too crappy! 😋

Today we get to see Autumn! It’s going to be 77°. Not sure yet if she is coming to our campsite or if we are going to her house. She has a new “friend“ and he has two dogs. I suspect if he is involved in the visit it will be at her house with the fenced backyard. If it’s just her, she might come here. We have a large box of wrapped gifts for her, for him, and for the young girl that she is mentoring. Quilts and homemade jam for everyone!! We would like to get that box out of our trailer and under her tree.

My QIAD order arrived! Twenty 1/4 yd cuts of Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Yay! I’m normally not a fan of his stuff but this was too good a deal to pass up. So Next sewing day I will probably get started on my “Village” quilt ( all 5x7 little houses).

Secret Santa opening day was yesterday. Much fun as always! Check out the thread if you haven’t already.

Irish, we have a little fiberoptic tree about the same size. It goes in the trailer with us at Christmas time but when we are home we set it up in our downstairs family room. Our big fresh tree is always upstairs in the living room where it is cooler.

Becca, I have never seen anyone use a cedar for a Christmas tree. But perhaps your Cedars are different from our western red cedar. Down here in TX what they call cedars would be termed junipers at home. But I believe they are in same family.

Lori, you could always make the reindeer all different whimsical colors... that is a lot of lasagna! 9 x 13 pans?

Jana, The public of Utah certainly keep Aaron and his cohorts on their toes! We always had tinsel on our tree growing up too. I still love it but don’t use it anymore because it is bad for cats. I have plastic “Chrystal“ beaded garlands That I use now plus garlands made of yo-yos from Christmas fabric. I wonder where Sarah’s flooring went. That was a big order to lose. I bet it got lost somewhere in the paperwork and actually was never even ordered. We once had Home Depot do carpeting and flooring. Not a good experience so now we go with a local flooring business. A little more expensive but we can’t say enough good about them and their installers.

Our supper plan is pizza again! Whether we are here or at Autumn‘s house, we will order delivery. It was such a luxurious treat last week that we just may make that a weekly tradition for the next three weeks we are here.

What might you be having for your supper?

Good morning!

Dinner tonight will be pizza. I needed milk, so added a few pizza fixings and the store's bakery fresh dough.

Sarah has been by to get the glue so she can set the toilet in the basement bathroom. Aaron helped her last night and the floor is laid in there. She decided to practice laying the floor in there, before the more public areas of the house. She has set toilets before, so she understands how to. Aaron wants to replace the floor in his house, sometime in the future, so this is good practice for him too. We will pay installers to do my floors, hopefully next spring. And to move the furniture as well. I am getting too old and lazy!

Not much more here, groceries, then to the Batt Cave. Michael is consulting for work, checking another engineer's work. That way, a fresh pair of eyes can see that there are no mistakes that could cause safety issues. Michael has done this his entire career and I have to say, I believe of his great diligence, BART has not suffered any major incidents with passengers.

Mary - yea! Autumn day! Hope it all works out for your visit. And your fabric arrived. A good win win day!

Becca - funny how we call trees by different names. I too think of a cedar tree as totally different., not a Christmas type tree.

Tina - Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day! Is Jaz baking your cake?

Well, my grocery order is ready, they just called with a couple of changes, that I needed to OK. I did.

Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana

Tina, brownies and tacos... sounds like the perfect birthday. Hope you are having a good one.

Mary, You make the bright colored one. I'm more down home type. lol We made 4 large lasagna, 4 medium and the rest in glass loaf pans. They have a few more layers because they are taller than the other pans.
My girlfriend picks up loaf pans from thrift store and then she gives them out as gifts. That way you get a lasagna and a loaf pan.

I had my annual eye exam this morning. Everything looks great. They did dialate my eyes, so they were a bit jacked up. I had to get my sisters quilt in the mail. It's been sitting around here for months. So glad it's finally going home. DH and I went to lunch. We got take out, because the restaurants aren't even aloud to serve on their patios now. We sat and ate it on the patio they can't serve on. It's all a little game. So pissed about the control of our governor.

So now I have peanut butter cookies in the oven and DH is making some coffee. We'll pass on dinner since we had a very big delicious corned beef sandwich for lunch. We'll make my FIL a chick pot pie. He likes those.

Have a lovely evening.
