Supper Club, Saturday, Dec 5

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Dec 05, 2020 5:06 am

Good morning!

No Autumn today. Maybe tomorrow or Tuesday. Sigh. Ding dang Covid!

So yesterday we did a lot of walking, played Racko w/ Al & Tina, and in the evening ordered pizza and watched Christmas With the Kranks w/ Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. In between all that I got much done on reindeer quilt. Might get that top finished today and pack it away to Quilt and bind when we get home. Other projects I have with me are: crazy quilt, a quilt called “Village” from miss Rosie‘s quilt company, a fused wall hanging called “Red Fox“ by Toni Whitney, and “Main Street”, a quilt pattern in eight sections, partially fused, partially pieced. Not to mention 5 cross-stitch projects ( one almost done!) and a large stack of books. Plenty to keep me busy! I have to admit though, I am always looking for more. 🥴. I think I have a problem.... I love my problem!!😀

Tina, sorry you were having to wait so long to get your new machine and frame assembled. Sweet torture! Glad you finally found your missing Christmas things! We have the EXACT same thing going on here. Think I will have to also take matters into my own hands. Sigh.

Irish, Sorry about your missing Christmas things but happy your sister came through for you. Live Christmas tree is a very nice idea. Next year, you can string lights on it in your yard! A card party? Isn’t that where you are a sick several weeks ago? We have friends whose mother lived in Pennsylvania. When she died the state grabbed a lot for inheritance taxes Even though she didn’t have much to begin with. Not So in Washington. They said they learned a lesson – don’t die in Pennsylvania!

Becca, that is cute game. My mom used to do something similar with the toe piggies. Every piggy had a detailed activity. The piggy that went to market had a long list of things he bought. The piggy that stayed home did all kinds of things, the piggy that went to town saw horses, houses, firetrucks, etc. on his way. And so it went. You have resurrected a fun memory of my mom for me!

Jana, so sorry to hear Daniel isn’t coming for Christmas. It is best, but hurts the heart, I know. If we can’t be outside, I don’t think we will be seeing Autumn on Christmas either. ☹️ How do you/Sarah plan to quilt the Minnie quilt? We have a computerized pattern at home of mouse ears that we used for my Mickey Mouse quilt last summer. Thanks for the gift card scam alert. I have seen several possible scam attempts coming over my phone news feed. We also have a newsfeed from our local TV station at home warning of the scam.

I think we will be having spaghetti for dinner tonight. I planned it last week but other menu ideas won out instead. Not sure if we will eat with Sister or not.

But always looking for more good ideas!

Mary, I thought I had a lot of projects. lol Have a Trust keeps the government from taking too much. You just have to plan ahead before you die.

I have some cleaning to do, the boys need to be walked, some bread made and then maybe I can sew today.

For dinner we'll be having steaks from the butcher. Our new BBQ was delivered yesterday and I need to try it out. We got a new Weber with a burner on the side. It's so nice. I had my other Weber for 26 years.

Have a lovely day.
