Good morning!
It’s only 31° here this morning. We even have slight chance of rain in our forecast and our warm and sunny Saturday has been changed to cool and cloudy. But hopefully Sunday will be nice. Otherwise we won’t be seeing Autumn this weekend
Yesterday I got three reindeer fused and all the parts and pieces for the rest of them prepared. Will start stitching them down today.
I texted with Ben last night, Vicki’s son-in-law. He said he just got off the phone with social services team and they said they have tried “multiple times“ to contact Vicky but she is very leery and suspicious of any strange cars in her yard and will not answer the door. I have to admit if strange people came to my house and tried to remove me from my home I wouldn’t go either!! Ben offered to help facilitate this but they really prefer family not to be involved. Two Different friends texted us that she was out in the middle of the road again yesterday. At this rate she will still be there when we get home in February! Which, to be honest, would be OK with us. After 3 1/2 decades of friendship we actually would like to be there for this.
Becca, your Village is truly beautiful. And what is the mousey mousey game you made?
Lori, we haven’t seen much news since we left home until last night and we saw big fire in SoCal. Is that the one that is close to you? Seems so wrong to have a fire like that in December. Praying they get it contained soon.
Tina, any word yet? And do you have your decorating done?
Jana, glad you got your Scrooge to understand what you wanted. I’m not sure I do but I know you have things under control
The chili at my sisters last night was really good. And she also served the little homemade flour tortillas that we can buy here. So good!! And she had a root beer float flavored pudding. I have never heard of it but she has seen it in Utah and in Colorado. And it tasted just like root beer!
We all agreed we’re just going to order a pizza for tonight. No cooking for anybody!
have you got a supper plan yet?

Good morning everyone cloudy here & cold
Did get my tree up & decorated
Maryz The Mousey Mousey game I made up when our Grandchildren were little & it has carried over to the grands now I use two fingers & go over real gentle over their arm or head & make up a story about what Mousey is doing He goes to school work shopping playing in Park Disney World Eats out The kids love it
Do hope they can get Vicky served but it looks impossible without intervention
Lori Sure hope the fire gets contained
Smoke is horrible to deal with
Tina I’m hoping today is your big day of installation
Jana Glad you were able to get your point across Not always easy to do

Good morning!
I forgot to come back yesterday

we were decorating and then putting all the empty boxes away. I couldn't find one of my wreath holders and Frankie said he looked in every box twice at least....I couldn't find my white twinkly lights for my nativity scene, again Frankie said he looked in every box twice.... sooooo yesterday after feeding Dad supper I took every single box back out and went through each and everyone and the last box that he swore he looked through multiple times plus right before me had the wreath holder in it and then the box I was saving for last to put in the closet because it has my table cloth that I use on the dessert table had my twinkly lights in it....... they must've been forgotten last year and that box is always last to be put away because I wash the table cloth and placemats before I put them away again LOL so everything is found and finished!
No scheduled time yet for set up, it's driving me crazy-er! I'm going to send a message through Facebook today if I can't get them on the phone again, I'm not sure if the store is opened back up yet because our state is still in the red.
Mary, you sure are going to town on your reindeer quilt! I'm looking forward to seeing it! Did you use your own colors of fabric or what the pattern called for?
That's a bummer about Vicki!
I hope you get to see Autumn this weekend.
Jana, I think I need some kind of flat thin board with cutouts for my nativity people so they stand sturdier..... Frankie doesn't have a clue what I'm taking about, ugh.....I feel your pain!
Lori, I can't go outside when there's smoke in the air, my lungs protest bigtime! I hope they get it out and the smoke blows away!
Becca, my mom did the same Mousy Mousy game, how cool. I do creepy mouse, they squeal LOL
Well it's just Frankie and me for supper....I think LOL Jazmyne was wanting to stay the night but she had to get a few things done at her house first so we'll see if she gets to. I'm not sure what to make yet..... guess it'll depend if I'm feeding 2 or 3 now.

Good early afternoon from a dreary, cold, wintery looking, SW. Pa....Our snow is melting and making a mess and then we're to get rain later this afternoon.....I need to run to Walmart to pick up my RX and a few things but have been waiting for a phone call...When I sold the other house, on the deed was written, Life estate which means, Jim's Mom would have been able to live in the house until her death or she moved...Then the attorney needed to come up with a value when she moved and that's what I need to pay inheritance tax on. Just another way for the state to get money....The money has been held in escrow all these months and I think the attorney forgot about me so I was jarring his memory this morning...
Mary, One of these days, you'll have you're warm, sunny southern weather....When I'd be in Florida and it would be chilly, it still felt different, it wasn't the same northern chilly, lol....The long drawn out Vicki saga is unbelievable...Someone who is a danger to herself and others and they can't or won't take action...It really is a sad situation......
You really are whipping through those quilts, aren't you? I wish I'd get my mojo back...I need to get something back, lol...
Maybe it's for the best that they haven't come to set up your toy...Just think, you've gotten your decorating out of the way and will have time to play when they do come...How come it's always the last box, the one you've searched a few times, that has the lost things? I was searching for the garland and my red bows that goes outside but I'm pretty sure it's long gone...I have a feeling, those boxes were on the porch of the other house when the "junk truck" came and they took everything...I'll be very surprised if they suddenly show up.....But, my sister came through with garland, now to get it taken care of....
Becca, your village is gorgeous! And your tree is up, good for you.....Mine is still in the shed, still in the box...I was thinking of getting a small live tree and then planting it in the spring...Might look for one when I go out later today....Thinking of a live tree brings back "those" memories of years ago...We had more crooked trees, held up with cement blocks and tried some how to the wall but we loved every one of them....The kids always wanted to go see Jim's brother's tree because they always looked like Charlie Brown's..The 1st year they used an artificial tree, they put it together wrong...The kids still talk about it....Oh my the memories.....
Lori, sure hope those fires aren't too close and pray they'll be contained quickly....Stay safe.....
Still haven't gotten that phone call so I'm going to run to Walmart...He can leave me a message...I think the gals are coming here to play cards and I'd like to bake a cake...Saw a recipe for applesauce cake with carmel icing so might give it a try....
For my dinner, leftover pork loin and a baked potato.....
You all have a great rest of the day.....
Happy eating....................

Good morning!
Just about to finish loading Minnie, Sarah wants to do the quilting. She is making a run to Costco for Sandee, and now me as well. Then here to quilt. She can't bend, it hurts, so I will do the loading.
Tina- you need Gator Board. It cuts with a craft knife or a jig saw. We use it in the model railroad and Sarah used it at the frame shop she worked in. It is thin and stiff.
Mary - so what's next out of the project stash?
Becca - it is so fun to start tradition that goes down to the next. We play a hand on top of hand game, then pull the bottom hand to the top of the stack, after a couple of times, the kids are giggling, trying always to be the top hand.
Dinner - with a Costco run, I will do hatch chili enchiladas.
Now for my sad news. Due to this wonderful -not- virus, my Daniel had to cancel coming for Christmas. I was so looking forward to having them here. Now I am in a mad rush to finish up and get it sent off. We are hoping that maybe in the Spring they can come back for a visit.
Stay Safe
Hugs,
Jana
